Those Songs That Hit You Every Time
Those songs that you absolutely have to sing to, air guitar to etc.
everytime you hear them. Rec your own as well because my list is short. |
1 | | Porcupine Tree Fear of a Blank Planet
Anesthetize: This song is so damn epic. I always find my self singing along,
especially near the end of the song. |
2 | | Nirvana Nevermind
Something in the Way: This song has a certain aura to it, but when singing along
you've always got to be careful not to over sing. |
3 | | Tool Lateralus
Lateralus: This is one of those songs where incredible is the only word to describe it. |
4 | | Pink Floyd The Division Bell
High Hopes: Perfect way to end a career. The solo in this song is Gilmour's best in
my humble as fuck opinion, it goes everywhere you want it to go. Superb. |
5 | | Mastodon Crack the Skye
The Last Baron: This song is insanely good. Especially considering this was simply
written to go around that proggy part in the middle. |
6 | | Nightmare The WORLD Ruler
~lulu~: One of the best album closers I've ever heard. Still gets me every time. |
7 | | Porcupine Tree Lightbulb Sun
Where We Would Be: This song actually managed to bring me to tears one night.
It's amazing how music can do that. |
8 | | BUCK-TICK Kyokutou I Love You
Kyokutou Yori Ai wo Komete: I am incredulous at how little attention this song gets. |
9 | | Pink Floyd A Saucerful of Secrets
A Saucerful of Secrets: There are plenty of other songs that I could have chosen
instead, but this was one of the first PF songs I ever heard and it still amazes me. |
10 | | Kumiko Noma
Lilium: Elfen Lied is one of the most heart-breaking, soul-crushing things I've ever
seen and read and as such, this song captures those feelings for me. Although the
lyrics aren't particularly sad, the music itself most certainly is. |
11 | | L'arc-en-Ciel AWAKE
Ophelia: Something a little different from them and boy did they pull it off. I love
the saxophone and piano on this one. The title always reminds me of Claymore. |
12 | | Trivium Shogun
Shogun: Trivium's opus is on hell of a track. |
13 | | Jakob Solace
Pneumonic: Anticipating exactly when it is that this song looses it is such an
indescribable feeling. |
14 | | Gorillaz Demon Days
The whole damn album, but especially the last three songs. |
15 | | Nightmare Livid
Suna: Nightmare never seem to put a foot wrong with these longer ballad type
songs, this one being their best one. |
16 | | BUCK-TICK Kurutta Taiyou
Sakura: This song is just an embodiment of emotion. |
17 | | Opeth Blackwater Park
Patterns in the Ivy: Strange choice, I know, but I always fucking play this when I
have an acoustic guitar in my hands. |
18 | | LUNA SEA Style
In Silence: The sky embraced the sea that day... In
sciiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllleeeeeennccccceeee!!!!!!!!!! subtly. First ever LUNA SEA song I ever
heard. Glad I clicked on this in my sidebar one day. |
19 | | Radiohead Kid A
How to Disappear Completely: Damn good song. |
20 | | Nightmare Majestical Parade
Lost in Blue: FWWWAAAAARRRRRKKKKK this song is good. I'm really scraping the
barrel putting three nightmare songs on here though, but I would have felt guilty
not including this one. |
