How much are you making? 12$ or so an hour with tips is cool for me in between graduate and undergrad.... would never take a job like you have tbh unless it payed double

I used to have a shitty job going door to door, and I would just tell myself to suck it up, but now I realize there is no point in doing annoying work for no added benefit (seems obvious, but its so easy to get stuck in the same shitty job because you use all the energy you need to find another job on the shitty job on a daily basis).

titanslayer 05.26.14	I worked in retail twice and now I work at a factory. All I'm saying is it's not really that bad. Also the really low pay means that there's no reason for him to stay while I have to stay at my job or I'm screwed. He should be glad he's just a cashier, that's probably one of the better jobs you could get in retail.

imjustthatcool 05.27.14	I work retail at a small business. my coworkers are cool and it pays $12.73/hr. Maybe you're just at a shitty place

I dunno having to smile and talk to customers all day sounds pretty shitty. I run the frozen department in my grocery store and I get to do orders, organize and plan so it actually feels like I am accomplishing something there is no sense of accomplishment on cash and that's what I think would be the worst for me.
RoyalImperialGuard 05.27.14	If there were any redeeming qualities about this place I'd stay put, fact is there is nothing great about it, nothing of interest, the work sucks plus the pay is awful. My mistake. I should just stay put in the restaurant industry where I belong.

ILJ 05.27.14	i sit at a computer for 7 and a half hours 5 days a week (sometimes 6 if I decide to do OT) and enter tax information into a system, and i get to listen to music while doing it. pretty sweet ass gig if you ask me, especially for the pay ($10 an hour). i will also be starting an internship this week in addition to that.

R6Rider 05.27.14	My girl works at Vitamin Shoppe and has to deal with a lot of idiots. She also just became a personal trainer, which is cool and all but getting clients is kinda tough.

Liiiam 05.27.14	There's no point doing good work you hate, I used to work for an agency who send you places to do the jobs the people that actually work there don't want, worst I've ever done was working on the beer stand at a football match, locked in a tiny cubicle on your own and you have to pour all the bottles into plastic cups whilst angry football fans shout abuse, quit the next day and eventually managed to get an engineering internship which is pretty interesting

betray 05.27.14	I worked retail full time for 2 years as a morning time freight buster and afternoon CSR. I wanted to bash my head repeatedly into the nearest wall several times every day. And fuck me, around the Holidays is the worst. I now sit at a desk from 8-5 Monday-Friday entering information into a computer. I can listen to music, go on sputnik (once I'm up to date ofc) and take a smoke break every now and then as well. All for better pay too. While I do like the comfort my job has, the days went by much faster when I was overloaded with tasks at the store and was up walking around. tl/dr: every job sucks deal with it

RoyalImperialGuard 05.27.14	I feel I could do vitamin shoppe or GNC cuz I love working out and supplements so I'm actually motivated and its something I actually care about. Whatever though, if I cant find a job till September then Ill just not drive my car or my cellphone. Not gonna worry about it but I will keep keep lookin. In the meantime Ill play ultimate frisbee rather than show up.
Apollo 05.27.14	I have two jobs right now, one is retail. I get paid $18.00 an hour to serve people booze for the gov't. It's amusing because I get to turn away drunks and homeless people. My other job in customer service makes me want to kill myself on a daily basis. The only bonus is my boss is around once a week so I get to work from home a lot and do my own thing. I would rather die than go work in a factory again or minimum wage retail/wait staff....sorry Balls best of luck getting outta that hellhole.

Hawks 06.26.15	I've worked in retail for 4 years now. Sometimes it ain't bad, but sometimes it's stressful as fuck. Dealing with customers is hands down the worst part about it, not including the awful pay lol.
