10 Excellent Episodes Of Lost

Still my favorite show ever.
10 The Streets
A Grand Don't Come For Free

"Expose" (3:16) - I know, I know, a lot of people feel like this is a filler episode. I personally
loved it. It's true that it didn't do much to move the plot along, but it was an entertaining hour
of the show to watch. It was basically done to kill off two people nobody cared for, but it also
showed much of the paranoia the other members of the island were experiencing at the time.
9Radiohead
Amnesiac

"The Other 48 Days" (2:7) - The odd thing about this episode is that it did not focus on
anybody we had spent the first season getting to know. Instead it took us to the other
side of the island, where the tail section of the plane had crashed. This worked very
well. We got to see all the shit they were put through and how easy the front section
actually had it in comparison. We also got more insight on characters that would stick
around for a while.
8Bad Religion
Against the Grain

"Man of Science, Man of Faith" (2:1) - The introduction of Desmond, a man that spends
his days inside a hatch in the ground, pressing a button over and over again so the world
does not end. The most interesting character in my opinion. This episode was great for
showing how everybody is tied together and how different Jack's and John's views are.
7Say Anything
...Is a Real Boy

"Walkabout" (1:4) - After the not as interesting Kate episode, we were given an
explanation as to why this man was always so happy when everybody else was in a
worried panic. This is the episode in which we found out why John Locke is the way
that he is. A man who goes from being paralyzed in a wheelchair to crashing and then
walking on an island is sure to have some interesting ideas about destiny.
6Death
Symbolic

"The Man Behind the Curtain" (3:20) - Here we finally see into the life of the mysterious Ben
Linus. We find out he is filled with hate, jealously, and sadness really. Helping to kill an entire
camp of people and killing his father by himself. Shooting a man in the back because he is
jealous of him. Ben is quite the character and this episode explains many things.
5Green Day
Dookie

"Jughead" (5:3) - One of the show's trippy episodes that helped explain involvement of Widmore and
once again how everybody is connected in some way. It's filled with unexpected twists and time
travel, but still feels very smooth. We really get to see Desmond's character more.
4The Beatles
Please Please Me

"Pilot" (1:1/2) - The episode that kickstarted the entire show. Here we get to meet all
kinds of characters and learn a little about each. It sets up mysteries that would keep
fans around for years and develops a sci-fi plot versus just a survival drama show.
3Refused
The Shape of Punk to Come

"The Shape of Things to Come" (4:9) - Quite a dense episode. Many revelations are
made and new questions are brought to light. We figure out the real intentions of the
"rescuers." We figure out Ben's devotion and power. We feel for him when he has to
make a hard choice. We get more insight into what is happening in the future.
2Counting Crows
August and Everything After

"Through the Looking Glass" (3:22/23) - Action packed and feels super satisfying. After
three seasons, this episode finally brought back what we used to love about the show.
The whole flashforward instead of flashback explained so much and yet left even more
questions. The tension throughout the entire episode could be cut with a knife. The last
dialogue shows the man who used to be the sturdy rock of the group is now an
emotional mess.
1The Flaming Lips
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

"The Constant" (4:5) - A masterful mindfuck. By this point, the show has played
around with Desmond's consciousness and time fucks a little bit, but this episode
takes the cake. Using romance as the pusher it creates a small narrative that
expands the mythology quite a lot. It exemplifies why Desmond, a tormented, loving
man is my favorite character from the show.
