Unpopular opinion coming in: I think Maxwell is a better neo-soul artist
than D'Angelo. Voodoo is an absolute classic, don't get me wrong, but
the one two punch of Maxwell's beautiful smooth Urban Hang Suite
followed by the immersive, organic, chill Embrya is just too great to
