| Aok's Top 10 Of 2014
In which I'm a lil late to the party, listened to not all that much new music and am apparently on Warp
Records' dick still even though I didn't realize it. | 10 | | Clark Clark
Clark hits with one of the better albums he's done in a while. If you're big into IDM or just smooth Electronic music in
general, check this out. | 9 | | Clockwork Indigo Clockwork Indigo EP
Hip hop underground superstars Flatbush Zombies team up with the Underachievers for an awesome little EP. Issa and
AK add a nice flavor to Meechy, Juice & Eric's clan while the rest of us wait for | 8 | | Deadmau5 While(1
After the not super cohesive "4x4=12" followed by the disappointing ">album title goes here | 7 | | Run the Jewels Run the Jewels 2
El-P & Killer Mike eclipse their first LP somehow. No I don't know how. Supposedly written as police brutality told
from black and white perspectives, Render & Reline's rapport and flow never stops as their words are every bit as
eloquent as the poetry your kids are assigned to read in school. | 6 | | Thom Yorke Tomorrow's Modern Boxes
While not quite as good as his debut, The Eraser, this album still has its moments and has only grown with time. | 5 | | King Fantastic The Great Man Theory
Again, I'm too big a fan to call this album better than "Finger Snaps And Gun Claps", but holy shit if "The Hardest
Song Ever" and "Spooky Spooks & the trouble with Capitalism" aren't the biggest bangers these guys have ever done.
Taking a step back from the violence, Reese spends most of the album philosophizing, and he's one of the very best at
what he does. | 4 | | Schoolboy Q Oxymoron
With homies Kendrick & A$AP not releasing records & Ab-Soul being a bit off the mark on his latest, Schoolboy did
TDE loud + proud with his latest release. Tracks 2 through 12 are all good enough to be singles, with Lamar & Tyler
providing notable guest spots on this superb release. | 3 | | Caribou Our Love
Could it be that Caribou are only getting better with time? After 2010's Swim, which garnered him + band the
auspicious honor of opening for Radiohead, Snaith doesn't let his ego get the better of him and produces music that I
simply cannot describe better than Rudy already has. | 2 | | Flying Lotus You're Dead!
"Hold up hold up I bet you thinkin that we dead" raps Ellison himself on what quickly became my summer's go to
track. Not quite challenging Cosmogramma in my eyes, Ellison taps into something that he never has here, which is
the rap game, with major features by Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg. Not only that, but he hasn't missed a beat with
"The Protest" also chilling me to my bones as I listen for the umpteenth time. Oh and his live performance has taken
another step up somehow -- truly a site to be seen & heard from! | 1 | | Aphex Twin Syro
We've moved on for the most part. Nah we're not still listening to Richard D James' newest release. It's not really that
different than his other stuff anyways. "I can't believe I paid money for this", some might say, but they don't get it.
Richard D James is pushing the envelope even still after being an inspiration to just about every notable elctronic music
artist today. You're just not paying careful enough attention | |

And no, I'm not sure if Deadmau5 is trolling me but his latest release is smooooth & demonstrates the (recovering?) party animal is still every bit as talented as when he exploded onto the scene in 2008. | CapnJizz

did you like the tricky album potsy? i couldn't quite wrap my head around all of it, so i went with the little ci lp if slightly for nostalgic reasons
"your love will set you free" is an incredible track listening rn & zomg |
