My 15 most jizzworthy future releases
If these 15 bands released a new album magically tomorrow, I'd jizz. |
1 | | Comeback Kid Symptoms + Cures
I remember when my oldest brother first showed me Wake the Dead. One of the first hardcore songs I ever heard. Having just listened to their entire discography after being hooked by Die Knowing, I can say Symptoms + Cures is one of my favorite hardcore releases ever. Can't wait for their next release, though its probably far away. |
2 | | Manners Pale Blue Light
Before I heard these guys, I never listened to anything so raw. Before this, I didn't even listen to Defeater. Pathetic. Got me through some dark fucking days, and got me hooked on a whole new type of music. |
3 | | Defeater Letters Home
My Manners no. 2. |
4 | | Architects Lost Forever // Lost Together
Best live show ever. |
5 | | While She Sleeps Brainwashed
Best band ever. Best album ever. The subject matter is both extroverted and introverted in an awesome kind of way. Some of my favorite lyricism around. And just the most hardcore thing ever (In like a life sense more than a music sense, though to me that's kind've the same, but others would disagree) - I'm looking at you Satisfied in Suffering, Dead Behind the Eyes, Your Evolution, Trophies of Violence, Torment, Brainwashed, and the list goes on. |
6 | | Make Them Suffer Neverbloom
These guys just do their thing better than everyone else. The piano work is straight immaculate. |
7 | | Tool 10,000 Days
Probably going to be massively disappointed by their next release, but I can't leave them off this list. |
8 | | Darke Complex Widow
One of the most refreshing eps I've heard. When their debut LP comes out, it should inject some vitality into the scene. They bring something to the table that no one else does. Slime is one of the most brutally honest and raw songs I've ever heard. |
9 | | The Ghost Inside Dear Youth
While I'm moving farther and farther away from all the old music I used to listen to, TGI is holding strong. "Life's swinging hard, but I'm swinging harder." How can I not dig that shit? |
10 | | To The Wind Block Out The Sun and Sleep
This release kind've dickslapped me in the face when I heard it. I wasn't ready for that much power, but I will be next time. |
11 | | Haste the Day Coward
How nice that a band on this list actually has a release coming soon. Anticipating this ridiculously hard, Attack of the Wolf King was one of the albums that got me into good metalcore. |
12 | | Antagonist A.D. Haunt Me As I Roam
This album immediately put this band onto my radar as a band I need to see live. Super honest and hardcore. Can't wait for their next one. |
13 | | Dr. Dre 2001
Probably one of the only people still waiting for this. But I need this nostalgia check before I can leave it behind. |
14 | | Oh, Sleeper Children Of Fire
Hopefully Shane stops fucking around with Wovenwar so he can get back to Oh, Sleeper. Children of Fire was sweet. See no reason why the next one wouldn't be. The Titan Ep's Heavy Hands is a better clean vocal song than any Wovenwar put out. |
15 | | In Flames Come Clarity
Back to my oldest brother, same day as he showed me Wake the Dead, he showed me Free Fall and Cloud Connected. Things would never be the same. Too bad Siren Charms kind've felt like a limp dick. I still enjoyed it, but I can't say I wasn't disappointed. I hope they can rediscover the heaviness of their past, but I know most people would say that ship sailed fifteen years ago. Luckily for me, I still like their new shit. |
