Teenage Nostalgia
Ahhh... nostalgia. Lately, I've been wading through my early teenage CD collection and (in a sense), reliving my awkward, hyperactive, embarrassing childhood. Here's a couple of albums that were my jam back in the day. |
1 | | Motion City Soundtrack My Dinosaur Life
I made the decision to buy this based on its album cover and a music video. Loved it! Still do |
2 | | Flight of the Conchords I Told You I Was Freaky
Got my sister this for christmas and ended up enjoying it far more than her. Great comedy album! |
3 | | Editors An End Has A Start
First album I found that I liked every song from. Shame they didn't keep making music like this. |
4 | | Snow Patrol Final Straw
Snow Patrol was my favourite band for a fair few years. I recall listening to Gleaming Auction on repeat over and over and over again. What was I doing with myself back then? |
5 | | The Vines Vision Valley
This one's aged well. Rocking out to it right now |
6 | | Gorillaz Demon Days
Oh man, I was crazy about this. I spun it constantly while checking out the killer booklet artwork |
7 | | The Killers Sam's Town
Despite it being way overplayed on the radio, I'd still feel the urge to listen to this stuff. |
8 | | R.E.M. Automatic for the People
We had like, only 4 tapes that we'd take on car trips when I was a little kid (Animals by Pink Floyd, The Bends by Radiohead, Talking Heads best of and this). Good times |
9 | | Pink Floyd The Division Bell
My early childhood memories mostly involved Pink Floyd, with this being my mother's favourite. I knew the all the words while I was still learning how to spell. |
10 | | Mindless Self Indulgence Frankenstein Girls Will...
Wow I can't believe this CD still works! I thought my sister hated it so much that she smashed it up! Guess not |
11 | | The Beatles Help!
Used to listen to Help all the time before the record player shat itself. Reminder that the tennis court isn't the best place for an open record player. |
12 | | David Bowie Best of Bowie
List's over. Tell us what got you dancing back in your childhood. Unless you're still a child, which in that case, stay in school, get off Tumblr, listen to Radiohead and don't misuse the word 'literally'. |
