The Second Philosophy
Progressive death metal from Spain...one of my favorite harsh vocalists with amazing clean vocals to boot...one of the only albums where i think the album art completely fits the sound...drummer plays very un-death metal like drums that make his work very unique...superb use of quiet and loud sections including some electronics...fans of opeth, agalloch, disillusion, and katatonia-esque cleans need apply...Recommended Tracks: Nothing, Siamese, Labrinthine Straight Ways | | 2 |  | Lady Radiator

Guitarist from meshuggah decided to make a mind blowing album of his own...if you like meshuggah you prbably will like this but that doesn't mean they are similar...album plays like one long song and while containing the techinicality of meshuggah, it has a more progressive feel, utiliaing a saxophone and an organ...thomas haake does the vocals in a black-metalish way that comes off reptilian...drummer is mind-blowing as well with some great fills...Recommended tracks: ALL | | 4 |  | Minsk
