BigLeach65
11.04.15 | VS.- Pearl jam |
CamiloG
11.04.15 | Preferably from different artists than the ones listed here, as I just picked one album from each artist, but I'm willing to check all, or the majority of their discography. |
Pangea
11.04.15 | 2, 3 and 22 are def worth it. I need to check a lot on this list too |
BigLeach65
11.04.15 | o and 18 is amazing btw |

11.04.15 | Going big, I see. I like it. I don't think I really have any recs that fit the list. |
dbizzles
11.04.15 | Are you planning to put these all on a playlist and shuffle them or are you going to do these album by album? |
CamiloG
11.04.15 | I'm planning to go album by album, artist by artist. This is going to take quite some time, but I'm really looking forward to do this. I'll begin this night when I'm done with work. |

11.04.15 | Nice. Enjoy! There area lot of good albums here. I like 2, 4, 7, 8, 12, 24 a lot. In fact, 24 is one of my favorite albums of all time- I'm glad you will be listening to it straight through. |
CamiloG
11.04.15 | Thanks man, I guess my life will never be the same after I'm done with this. |
Archelirion
11.04.15 | Nice mix, you'll have a blast with a lot of these.
My list of albums is... insurmountable. The fact you've managed to condense yours into a definite list is definitely the way forward :] |
wham49
11.04.15 | the Talking Heads and Velvets are the winners here, Id go with any other Velvet album before this though |
CamiloG
11.04.15 | Which one you suggest then, Wham? I just want to get into Velvet. |
BandNewbac
11.04.15 | white light white heat |
ArsMoriendi
11.04.15 | PJ Harvey - Dry (In the vein of Pixies/Dinosaur Jr./Sonic Youth)
L7 - Hungry for Stink (In the vein of Soundgarden/Pearl Jam, but only kind of)
Ministry - Psalm 69 (In the vein of Nine Inch Nails) |
Ryus
11.04.15 | make 1, 7, 9, 28 and 33 top priorities |
wham49
11.05.15 | The velvet Underground, white light/white heat, Loaded. those 3 are the best. I think Nico gets too much love on this album, on the demand of Worhol, the band is great however, cant go wrong with any |
CamiloG
11.05.15 | @ArsMoriendi Thanks man!
@Ryus I'll keep that in mind
@wham Yeah that's what I hope. I've heard some songs though, but I want to give them the time they deserve. |

11.20.15 | 2 liked
3 really liked
5 not for me
9 amazing
10 amazing
15 I honestly only listened to twice, but from first spin it was apparent how transformative an album it was to the hip-hop scene
31 it's a grower, if you liked blue you'll like it in time
32 disappointed, expected some gems on this one
33 not for me at all, expected greatness given its rep, but did not deliver
34 ehh, it was good but I feel like I knew so many of the tracks beforehand that that kind of ruined its potential impression for me
35 realllllly solid. the first track literally dropped my jaw.
A lot of these are albums I've just recently checked out or have been itching to check out myself, very parallel taste it seems. Just a couple suggestions based on this list that I love:
The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
Lou Reed - Transformer
Marvin Gaye - What's Goin' On
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
J Dilla - Donuts |
CamiloG
11.20.15 | Thanks a lot for the time you spent on that comment, I'll check your suggestions. What's Goin' On is a wonderful record though. |

jmh886
11.20.15 | since you had some excellent 90s stuff in there i recommend:
soundgarden - superunknown
live - throwing copper
at the drive-in - relationship of command
just three that came to mind quickly. |
CamiloG
11.20.15 | @PappyMason I started this journey when I first posted this list and I gotta say it's been one hell of a ride and of course really good times.
@jmh886 Thanks a lot for the recs man! |
sublimefan1991
11.20.15 | No prob man, I actually just bought that VU album last week but just haven't checked it out yet haha. Also, listen to "Flight Test" off that Flaming Lips album, it's the opening track and gives you a glimpse into the weird melodic bliss that is Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. Probably my top rep honestly. |

11.20.15 | Lots of great, great stuff here. |
