jagride 04.01.16	i'll get around to mohicans again eventually but i've never really cared for his historical/politlcal stuff. he hits the spot when i want some melodramatic dialogue with scenes of LA filmed at night thru rain flecked diner and car windows tho thief is cool, you'll probably enjoy it if you like his other crime stuff. dope tangerine dream soundtrack too

RadicalEd 04.01.16	"any given sunday is pretty terrible" nah, I mean it's a sports drama so it has no chance of being like a 5/5, but it's very cool movie imo. But I just found out that it's not a michael mann movie, and I remembered that wrong, so.... uh... sorry I guess.
Rik VII 04.01.16	Heat is one of my favorite movies. Insider and Collateral are also great films, don't really care for the rest, but he's a very gifted director for sure! He just has to try something different instead of sticking to the same genre/style, since he mastered that one with Heat and everything he did in recent years is like a worse version of that (especially Public Enemies).

EyesWideShut 04.01.16	The visuals in Miami Vice are everything you love about Mann films, digital coolness. Blackhat was basically a Mann popcorn flick, it was alright. Thief, Heat, and The Insider are his best work.
