Stuff I've Added to Sput!
All these are artists/albums that I have added to the Sput database. Figured I would try to give them some exposure with this list for those that are interested as almost all of them have less than 5 ratings. |
1 | | I'm Not a Pilot Need Money For Rocket Fuel
Ok so checked my ratings and this was the first band I added to sput back in 2014 (wow!). They are from Milwaukee which is near where I live and I've seen them live. Really cool vibe to them as they don't have a lead guitarist but instead a cello player. Indie rock/pop rock stuff but def worth checking out. Their cover of Creep is fantastic. |
2 | | Choir Vandals At Night
This band is also a local band but they are from St. Louis which is where I go to school. Saw them open up for Foxing and thought they deserved some attention. They have this cool dark alt rock/emo vibe to them. Would rec and they were pretty tight live. |
3 | | Plainclothes Dog Logic
Band is on the same label of Bay Faction, who for some reason blew up on sput after Ruf reviewed their album. Definitely an emo band but much different style as they are a bit faster paced and way more twinkly. If you're looking for some twinkly jams this summer check them out! |
4 | | I Love Your Lifestyle I Love Your Lifestyle
Swedish emo band that loves your lifestyle and loves to have fun! Honestly though they do the whole twinkly jam/happy vibe really well. Def deserves some attention |
5 | | Perspective, A Lovely Hand to Hold Play Pretend
Really tight emo band that is probably my favorite band that I have added. They have some cool lyrics that feature sick It's Always Sunny References (see Pepe Silvia for all you fans). Really tight stuff that is fun to jam and shit. Highly rec |
6 | | Weakened Friends Gloomy Tunes
Female fronted pop punk/emo band! And damn are they good. Check out the song 'Honestly' it's so good. If "I get drunk all alone and think of you without your clothes on" isn't the hottest/sickest line to drop right before a breakdown then I don't know what is. |
7 | | Flat Swamp By All Means
Surprised these guys weren't on here already. Typical alt rock/emo band from Boston (I think). Kinda straightforward/generic but they are pretty catchy! The EP I linked is def their best, would rec. |
8 | | Quarrels Admit
Post-hardcore/emo band and wow are they intense. I showed these guys to my friends on the way home from a MoBo concert recently and their jaws dropped. Really awesome stuff, really have no other way to describe it tbh. Just check out this album, I paid for this on bandcamp which I usually don't do because I'm broke. |
9 | | Slaughter Beach, Dog DAWG
Speaking of MoBo, this is Jake's side project from Modern Baseball! If you were one of the many who were like "man I liked Jake's side of Holy Ghost a lot but really didn't like Brendan's" then this album is for you! They are decent, would rec even if you don't know MoBo. |
10 | | ame solitare Holy Roller
Typical twinkly/emo band. The first song title "Me Vs. Marietta Vs. Elvis Depressedly" is awesome though which was enough for me to check them out. Maybe it'll be enough for you! |
11 | | X88B88 X88B88
Last band I added (I think). Slower emo/indie band that reminds me of a female fronted American Football with strings! Their last song is written to a friend of their's that died and man is it emotional. Kinda gets a bit boring/slow at times but I would def rec. |
