08.06.06 | Run DMC and Beastie boys are awesome. Thats basically the only rap I really listen to, save a couple more artists. |

08.06.06 | Pretty impressive list except I would have liked to see some 2pac or Biggie on there, Ready To Die and All Eyez On Me respectfully. |
BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please-
08.06.06 | Yea, digitdreamdoor is a cool site but next time, come up with your own list. |

08.06.06 | ^^^ That's kind of weird considering after I decided to make this list I got on my iTunes and wrote down the 10 albums I thought were most influential on a piece of paper, then ordered them on here. |
BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please-
08.06.06 | Well then I take back my comment and apologize if that's really the case. Nice list, I would've put 3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul on there though. |

08.06.06 | ^^^ No worries. Ya I was seriously considering putting 3 Feet on there since it basically started alternative rap, but ultimately decided on putting The Chronic in it's spot because it put the West Coast back on the map through the introduction of G-funk which allowed gangsta rap to become a mainstream success. Also because it introduced a few up-and-coming West Coast rappers such as Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Warren G, etc. who would go on to receive much success themselves.
If I went to 15 with the list I would probably have added 3 Feet High and Rising, Ready To Die, All Eyez on Me, The Message, and The Marshall Mathers LP. |

08.06.06 | Great albums.
But the Marshall Mathers LP doesn't compare to those giants. |

08.06.06 | what about early ice cube, like death certificate or the predator? |
cjstunna
08.06.06 | Valid points, you could easily make a case for putting Ice Cube's Amerikkka's Most Wanted in the top 15. I actually just threw out those other 5 of the top of my head. |

08.07.06 | i'm gonna go buy these and start rappin' about 'em. |

08.14.06 | The Chronic was pretty good, back in the day. |

07.22.07 | just bein a picky sod, but i think three feet high instead of low end, and NWA should have been higher, all great records though! |
