| My Favorite 10 Yes Albums
I was watching a DVD called "Yes: The Director's Cut" the other day, and it reminded me how much I love these guys. A belated R.I.P. to Chris Squire. | 10 | | Yes Relayer
Most Yes fans would rate this higher, but I only really like "Gates of Delirium" on this one. | 9 | | Yes 90125
I've never been a huge fan of the Trevor Rabin version of Yes. They had some good songs, especially on this album, but it doesn't sound like Yes to me. "Leave It" is probably the best. | 8 | | Yes Heaven and Earth
Blasphemy! I get it, for all intents and purposes this is a Yes cover band. I don't care. Or rather, I DO care, but in the end, I like what I like, and I just find this to be a very beautiful album. | 7 | | Yes Fly from Here
I know most people give this album very little love, even those who were fans of "Drama", but what can I say, I like the 5 (really 6) part "Fly From Here" suite. | 6 | | Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe
The forgotten Yes album, mainly because they couldn't call it Yes because Squire owned the name. But c'mon, we all know it's Yes, right? Especially with songs like "Brother of Mine" and "Order of the Universe." | 5 | | Yes Drama
Yes meets The Buggles, is it wrong to put a non-Jon Anderson album this high? Not when it has the Yes version of "Into the Lens". | 4 | | Yes Fragile
I know, most Yes fans will feel this should be higher, but #4 doesn't mean I don't like it. I think it's this low because "Roundabout" feels played out for me. I still love "Heart of the Sunrise" and "Long Distance Runaround" though. | 3 | | Yes The Yes Album
This was the first Yes album where they really showed stepped it up and showed signs of what they could could do. "I've Seen All Good People" is the highlight of the album. | 2 | | Yes Close to the Edge
There are only 3 tracks on the whole album, but they'e all masterpieces. "And You and I" is my other favorite Yes song. | 1 | | Yes Going for the One
I know most people will go with "Close to the Edge" or "Fragile" Number One, but this is an amazing album. I'm only so-so about the title song, but the other tracks are all first-rate, and "Turn of the Century" is one of my two favorite Yes songs. | |

10.21.16 | I know leaving "Tales of Topographic Oceans" off entirely will piss some people off, but while there's some beautiful stuff on it, it's so dense it just makes me want to kill myself. I think I'm a little too ADHD for it. Almost added the first Flash album, but unlike ABWH, Flash (with Peter Banks and Tony Kaye) was really more like Yes's cousin than actual Yes. Could have also put "Time and a Word", but again, while I love the title track, the band hadn't become fully Yes yet. | porcupinetheater
10.21.16 | Brave list | twwerkcity
10.21.16 | You are crazy, relayer is a classic. | wham49
10.21.16 | yes, what about the first Steve Howe solo
or Yes the debut for some reason does not get high reviews, maybe because it is not progressively developed as some others, but that is what I like about it, just tastes of the prog to come, and Survival kicks it | ArsMoriendi
10.21.16 | 2, 3, 4, and their first 2 albums are all I need. | Divaman
10.21.16 | For me, Relayer suffered from a lot of the same problems as Tales from Topographic Oceans. Howe is always great, but its a question of is the music actually going somewhere. | ArsMoriendi
10.21.16 | Check Time and a Word | wham49
10.21.16 | Ars, Time is good but way weaker than The debut I think | Titan
10.21.16 | Diva dude Tales and Relayer are two of their better albums.....you forgot to mention South Side as well on 4 :) | pjquinones747
10.21.16 | 5 is so underrated. 4 is probably 1 and 1 is 2 | Storm In A Teacup

10.22.16 | the aforementioned topographic oceans | Shadowmire
10.22.16 | i should probably give going for the one another shot though | Divaman
10.22.16 | Yeah, topographic oceans is one of those albums you either love, or you just can't deal with it. | Storm In A Teacup
10.22.16 | I should at least try the whole discography considering the band has at least in name made some of the greatest albums of all time. | Divaman
10.23.16 | Most of them are worth it. | 50iL
10.23.16 | My dad just found a bunch of these on vinyl for dirt cheap.
Fuck. Yeah. | wham49
10.24.16 | Tales puts me to sleep, def. top 10 though | Divaman
10.24.16 | Wham, I don't get it. You say it puts you to sleep, but you also say Top 10. Historical significance? | wham49
10.24.16 | no, it is just too long, and name albums that are better if it is at the 10 spot | Titan
10.24.16 | Tales is top 5 yes....maybe better | wham49

10.25.16 | Well, you saw my list above. Certainly the abwh album, which is as much a Yes album as any Yes album. But anyway, my list is my own 10 personal favorites, not trying to make any claim that they're objectively the best. |
