ChoccyPhilly
02.02.20 | Was a hard season to watch but ended in a satisfying way |
BlazinBlitzer
02.02.20 | Yes, it did. Considering the way Episode 9 started with Bojack's recurring dialogue bit among many other things, this ending far and away made the most sense out of anything the writers could've done. Even before the last couple of episodes, this was still my favorite season in the whole series, though the famous penultimate episode was a rollercoaster of emotions and then some (solving the cliffhanger in the credits was a genius move). With that wrapped up, Bojack Horseman will probably go down as one of the greatest TV shows, animated or otherwise, in my lifetime. I still can't believe the show's over yet. |
Mythodea
02.02.20 | @BlazinBlitzer ''solving the cliffhanger in the credits was a genius move''
What dym? What cliffhanger is solved where??? |
BlazinBlitzer
02.02.20 | I'm referring to the heart monitor sound at the end of episode 15. |
Mythodea
02.02.20 | oh, yeah, the penultimate episode, I misread that and thought there was something after the Bojack/Diane ending at the roof. |
MrSirLordGentleman
02.02.20 | Best cartoon ever

02.02.20 | kind of incredible the places a show like this takes its protagonist |
AtomicWaste
02.02.20 | Penultimate episode was strong, strong, strong.
Made the final episode almost a let down, but really, it's what Bojack deserved - not immortality, but consequence and maybe some self-realization.
The writing on the show has just been so consistently high level. |

As I said on another thread. The ending wasn't predictable nor surprising. It was an ending with everyone moving on their lives. It felt "real" and that's what BoJack has always been about |
Rowan5215
02.02.20 | penultimate episode was inarguably one of the best episodes of the show - what a goddamn masterpiece
the last episode was almost as good, though. just a heartfelt, warm farewell to all our lead characters in the most honest way they can be written at this point in their lives. it wasn't dramatic or tense and so much better for it - I think people will be discussing the ending for a long time |
GreyShadow
02.02.20 | if I could complain about anything it would be Penny's story being gone after like the third episode. I know they had to cram a lot in to these last 8 but it felt significant to revisit post 2nd interview where the shit hit the fan.
oh well, still a brilliant season, way to end the series, and show altogether of course. |

02.03.20 | @grey interesting bc i had a similar thought but re: gina and kelsey |
MrSirLordGentleman
02.03.20 | There's a poster in the last episode of "Fireflame". So at least Kelsey got to finally make her movie |
BlazinBlitzer
02.03.20 | While we never got to see Gina nor Kelsey let Bojack get out of their heads completely, having that poster at the end to conclude their arcs with Bojack was pretty much all that the audience needed to know about their characters progressed. It's inferred that they likely paired well with each other because Kelsey was probably one of the only people that understood the gravity behind Gina's on-set meltdowns.
As for Penny, I like to think that she eventually agreed with Charlotte on keeping herself out of the public eye when Bojack's scrutiny was at its peak. While she initially felt that publicizing her experiences would be a form of self-therapy and justice for others that Bojack hurt, the stress of paparazzi and the constant retelling of hurtful experiences probably caused Penny to decide that the best way to cope with those struggles was to leave it all behind entirely. |

02.05.20 | also ya penultimate was great, tho not as great as the eulogy or flashback w/ his mom eps. The end of that season was ufff. This was a very fitting end to the series, though, and I did like where they went with his character. |
Pangea
02.05.20 | incredible ending i agree |
WatchItExplode
02.05.20 | I'll just say the opening theme is GOAT. I honestly can't think of another show I've watched six seasons of and never once skipped through it. |

02.05.20 | the whole opening sequence is a work of art |

02.09.20 | "I'll just say the opening theme is GOAT. I honestly can't think of another show I've watched six seasons of and never once skipped through it."
word. it is only topped by the few alternative intros, especially Bobo the Zebra. One of the best moments of the show |
EclipseInYourEyes
02.09.20 | and yeah, first season is probably the weakest. season 2 is getting stronger and season 3 is the ultimate peak while 4-6 are continuing on the high levels of season 2 |
