08.28.20 | if you tell me i'm wrong i'll probably agree with you |

08.28.20 | Choirs of the Eye if you want the heavy chaos
Coffins on Io if you want the atmospheric eeries |

08.28.20 | Ambitious list, would have no idea where to even begin, will listen to Kayo till my dying day and probably still won’t feel like I have a handle on any of it, Driver’s unbelievable. Interesting seeing Aura on an Asylum Wall so low, though, always thought that was the closest to marrying the approach of Choirs to Dowsing’s stripped down, malevolent sonics |

08.28.20 | I wonder if that's why it's my least fav cut off Dowsing; I kinda like the disparity between the two albums
@aberf, you kinda gotta start with Choirs just cause it's so mythological on sput. Toby has a sampler on their bandcamp though if you wanna see what era of KD you vibe with most. also kinda goes without saying you should check motW as well if you haven't already |

08.28.20 | Saw I load of songs I liked ranked low and figured I'd hate this ranking
then saw a load of songs I liked ranked high and remembered this band is very great
Aura is too low [2] and Thief and Assassination of Adam and The Awkward Wind Wheel and And He Built Him a Boat and Gamma Knife
and you ranked the best two songs on Choirs as the lowest
but this is cool I love you |

08.28.20 | Impressive compilation, i wouldn't know where to begin! Obviously we're going to disagree on the particulars and I would like to plead a case for 16 and 17: they're both incredible and would place higher on my own list but this is uniquely yours and that rules too xx |
Jasdevi087
08.28.20 | choirs and dowsing were quite painful to rank |

08.28.20 | pained by the low placements of "Gamma Knife", "Blasphemy", AHBHAB
I probably need to run back through a lot of this. I never got into the debut, I don't care for the overly synthy stuff, and honestly just didn't enjoy Blasphemy other than the title track |
Jasdevi087
08.28.20 | I love Gamma Knife but there's a couple of other tracks with similar vibes (lunar water), IaPC that i just like a little more |

08.28.20 | Manifold Curiosity is one forever. And not just on a list limiting it specifically to Kayo Dot tracks.
Whole song feels like the experience of floating on top of still water on a hot day and slowly floating down past a vibrant coral reef, and by the time you realize you’ve sunk too far to get back and the ocean is crushing the life from your lungs. |

08.28.20 | insanely ambitious list. Love all Kayo Dot. Saw #59 live and it blew my mind because they made it sound so much louder and messier. Last concert before lockdown |

08.29.20 | Can't believe the assassination of Adam is this low!!! Def top 5 for me. Nice list |

08.29.20 | 1 is 1 thank goodness |

08.29.20 | I've actually been kinda surprised to see how much people like Assassination of Adam cause it's such an easy bottom of the pile pick for me |

08.29.20 | shouldn't have let me catch him lackin then |
porcupinetheater
08.29.20 | For real though, list is a no win, cause all the low-ranked songs ought to be higher than they are and all the high-ranked ones are right where they need to be |
Jasdevi087
08.29.20 | that's pretty much exactly the problem i had making it, yeah |
Scoot
08.29.20 | 1 is one of the most incredible songs ever made |
