02.09.22 | Probably choosing the wrong places to eat in Spain - if you avoid the tourist spots food is often really good.
Worst places for food I've been to were Croatia and Turkey...but again, these were holiday resorts mostly so maybe unfair. I didn't eat any good food in Berlin but eh, that was a stag do |
JeremiahBullfrog
02.09.22 | Good beer for your stag do tho? |

02.09.22 | 4 is amazing, I regretted not having time to go to the zoo though.
7 is on my must-visit list, alongside Sweden, Oceania and NYC.
Visit Lisbon sometime. You'll enjoy it. Very personable city, though it's become a little TOO touristy in the last decade or so, to the point where traditional/historic commerce in the old town is sadly dying out. Still worth a visit if you approach it with a 'do like the locals do' mentality. |

02.09.22 | I live in USA and only other country I’ve been to was Ireland and it was wonderful. My wife and I really want to go to Japan |

robertsona
02.09.22 | Madrid was great but I stayed the perfect amount of time too (this past summer. 10 days). reminded me almost of brussels which I also loved: "intimate". paris was decent...kinda boring dare I say all told given its rep? amsterdam was cool. really liked taipei. china in HS was certainly different but so Educational and some amazing food (huge fan of sichuan cuisine). guess that's it
never been to LA or socal :(
I have a good madrid list for food |
Ryus
02.09.22 | i was supposed to study abroad in madrid but covid ruined that : [ |
robertsona
02.09.22 | the prado was truly incredible and we hit it like 4 hours before our flight because we were planning to go the night before but got shut out. truly incredible; A's flight was delayed randomly and that freed us up to go at the last second |

Ryus
02.09.22 | fr LA is like the opposite of everything i want in a city. besides the nature and weather |
YoYoMancuso
02.09.22 | great nature, great weather, can't enjoy either because you're in your car 36 hours a day |
JeremiahBullfrog
02.09.22 | "great nature, great weather, can't enjoy either because you're in your car 36 hours a day" lmaoooo
When Im talking LA, Im actually on about Orange County for those who know locations in the USA. Actually downtown LA and Hollywood is not fun. |
dedex
02.09.22 | brussels > all tbh |

02.09.22 | SoCal outside of LA is great, and San Diego is a lovely city in my limited experience. Didn't have to worry much about traffic when I was there, though, so maybe my opinion was skewed. NorCal is awesome, though, and like a whole different place, especially once you get north of San Francisco. Felt more like the Pacific Northwest to me.
I'm an American (and so nice), and internationally, I've been to Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Turkey, Spain, Iceland, Cambodia, Canada (of course), Mexico (of course) and a few spots in the Caribbean. All fantastic places in their own way. I'd love to travel more in Europe at some point, particularly in the UK and Scandinavia. |

02.09.22 | worst place i've been food wise was russia but i missed out on the good spots for sure, just a very bad batting average
germany is good just cus it has extremely consistently decent pizza |
JeremiahBullfrog
02.09.22 | Yeah from the people I’ve spoken to Dubai is SO divisive, I know people that went once and said it was hell, and others who go religiously, doesn’t sound like it’s for me tbh
I always say; the world is far too big for me to ever see all of it, so I may as well spend money and time going to places I actually want to see. |
DoofDoof
02.09.22 | 1. Canada
2. Spain
3. US
4. Thailand

Rated in terms of enjoyment of the trip(s) but looking at it also pretty much works in preference order of where I’d choose to emigrate if I had to
Going to Iceland this year, no idea if I’ll dig
Top of my list to visit in the future would be Italy, Japan, Scandinavia in general and Vietnam |
JKing92
02.10.22 | I remember going to L.A. for spring break one year with a bunch of college buddies. Like you, thankfully, I did not have to deal with a lot of people who were dicks (my friends, now that's a different story).
L.A. was definitely one of my favorite college spring break trips (though I also loved getting to go to Jamaica and Hawaii). |
Madbutcher3
02.10.22 | for me my rank would be
1. Sweden
2. Netherlands

Purpl3Spartan
02.10.22 | Interesting to hear that about Spain. Was thinking of going there or Costa Rica for Spanish immersion for a couple months
LA is wack |
JeremiahBullfrog
02.10.22 | All of this LA bashing is kinda surprising.
The 2 things left on my bucket list is to cage dive with great whites and Route 66 tbh. |
Purpl3Spartan
02.10.22 | My brother and father did something similar with Galapagos sharks and they loved it so that should be fun |
fogza
02.10.22 | I've never really had the money to stay in a place I've visited for a long time or really get to know it, aside from the UK and maybe Greece. Home base is South Africa.
1. Italy (Rome, Verona, Florence, Venice)
2. Scotland (Edinburgh)
3. Germany (Berlin)
4. England (Leeds, York, Bristol, Bath, London, all around Yorkshire, Winchester, etc etc)
5. Czech Republic (Prague)
6. Greece (Athens, Olympia, various places in Crete)
7. Wales (Cardiff and Wye Valley)
8. Belgium (Brussel)- Wasn't there long enough (Just an afternoon really).
9. Netherlands (Stein) - Stayed with older conservative hosts who sort of cramped our style. Would like a do over.
10. France (Paris)
11. Ireland (Dublin) |
JeremiahBullfrog
02.10.22 | Yesss fogza fu** the paddy's with Ireland dead last! Got more interest in going to Bahgdad than Ireland tbh |

JeremiahBullfrog
02.10.22 | Im kidding, I love the Irish, it's just their accents (an the welsh tbh) is like the dance monkey dance of accents IN MY HUMBLE OPINION |

02.10.22 | Man I need to get out more! Your #1 and 2 have always been my top places I'd love to visit. As for me...
1. The Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri- when I was 6 years old my parents inherited a cabin along the water at the Ozarks from my grandparents on my dad's side. They'd had the cabin when my dad was a child and although they hadn't been there in 17 years due to my grandma being on oxygen at the time they finally passed it along to us and we started going down every weekend when I was growing up. Although I haven't been many places the Ozarks is my favorite place in the world. All of my greatest memories growing up where here and it is straight up a beautiful, peaceful place! I highly recommend visiting there if you get the chance
2. Milwaukee, Wisconsin - this was my first real journey outside of my home state of Missouri. I went for a killer metal festival called Milwaukee Spring Bash 2018. The way the neighborhoods in this city was beautiful to me and I felt like such a fish out of water interacting with the locals here. People seemed so nice and chipper compared to what I was used to back home and it was a lovely experience even without the insane amount of killer bands I got to check off of my live bucket list! It also sits along one of the great lakes and hiking to see it whilst having a nice little shroom experience easily earned itself a spot amongst the highlight reel of my life. The whole trip did honestly. A+ |
combustion07
02.10.22 | 3. Kansas City, Missouri/Kansas- my home town. It's all I've ever known until that venture to Milwaukee so it seems pretty ordinary to me but with that being said we are a pretty solid city imo. There's an amazing music scene here in metal, punk and hip-hop and we have some awesome music venues to host them (although my favorite recently closed it's doors). The art museum is great and Prosperos is an amazing bookstore that I frequent if I've got some extra cash. Also our BBQ is absolutely killing the game and nobody can tell me otherwise!
4. St. Louis, Missouri- this one would probably be #2 but it was so long ago and I was too young to get a full grasp of it and was honestly just tagging along with my sister and parents the entire time. Going up in the arch was a big highlight though and I was in complete awe by the fact that the cars looked like the micro machines I played with back home and the people looking like ants definitely had a younger me realizing just how big the world is and how small I was in the grand scheme of things. We also went when Nelly's Country Grammer had just dropped and seeing everyone walking the streets rapping his songs (literally even passed an old lady doing it) was mind blowing lol. The edited version of that album was one of the first CDs I ever owned so that was really cool to see at the time. |

02.11.22 | "All of this LA bashing is kinda surprising."
