Tundra's February Albums 2023
1Shrezzers
SEX & SAX

Combination of Shokran and Reliqa type of metalcore with Dance Gavin Dance type of swancore, plus sax solos. The title of this album is cringey unfortunately, but the contents of the album is great. Lots of poppy hooks along with metalcore breakdowns, and melodic vibrant passages.
2Paramore
This Is Why

Great direction for Paramore to go, definitely feels like a more mature effort overall.
3Caroline Polachek
Desire, I Want To Turn Into You

Great first half, the second half is quite slow and plodding, may just need more time with it.
4Jakub Zytecki
Remind Me

Jakub's guitar phrasing is out of this world and is definitely one of the best maestro's in the modern rock sphere. On this album its pretty similar to his previous effort, atmospheric and ambient soundscapes. Just wish these songs had a bit more structure to latch on to.
5Skrillex
Quest for Fire

Didnt think I'd be listening to Skrillex in 2023, this is quite the comeback for him. It's very intriguing to see how his sound has evolved from the bombastic ness of his debut.
6Carnosus
Visions of Infinihility

An awesome melotech death affair ofc similar to the likes of The Black Dahlia Murder. It's got great riffs and great lead work.
7RAYE
My 21st Century Blues

Pretty diverse for a modern pop album, the production is quite nuanced on every track.
8Half Me
Soma

Bit of a derivative what Alpha Wolf have done before, but it's still a well done display of modern metalcore/hardcore.
9Flub
Dream Worlds

Very fun melotech death, reminding me of First Fragment plus Alterbeast
10Outrun the Sunlight
The Return of Inertia

2.0 of this. Great instrumental prog metal with lots of mesmerizing soundscapes, and djenty grooves.
