Recent Gets/Future Wants

"Says here the kid has no eyes." "So he's blind?" "It just says no eyes."
1Depeche Mode
Sounds of the Universe

Technically a Mother's Day gift, but you best believe I'm ripping this jank the second it's opened.
2 Warship
Supply and Depend

I had no idea this existed until a few weeks ago. It's pretty rough, and it's not as good as either From Autumn to Ashes or Biology, but still a worthwhile listen.
3 sleepmakeswaves/Tangled Thoughts of Leaving
Split EP

sleepmakeswaves has yet to disappoint me, but I feel like TToL's half of this disc might be even better than theirs.
4As Cities Burn
Hell or High Water

I did not see this coming at all. These guys are so drastically different from one album to the next, and yet so consistently good, it's mind-bottling.
5 As Cities Burn
Gates

I absolutely hate iTunes and their inane "album only" policy, especially when the song in question isn't even technically on the album. So I'm on the hunt for this one. Does anybody have any tips about where a po' boy like me could find this song without any...um...imperial entanglements?
6 Pilot Speed
Wooden Bones

I thought these guys had broken up awhile back. Apparently not. I want this.
7The Format
Dog Problems

Interventions and Lullabies was a goodun, and the word on the street is this puppy (get it? amiright?) is even better.
8Fields
Everything Last Winter

The name and art intrigued me.
9Silverstein
18 Candles: The Early Years

A Shipwreck in the Sand has renewed my interest in these guys, so I'm on the lookout for this one.
10 Isis
Clearing the Eye

I've already preordered Wavering Radiant (with an autographed booklet, to boot), and my plans to see them at Sonar are starting to fall into place. I figure why not prepare myself visually as well as sonically?
11 Asche & Spencer
Stay - Original Soundtrack

This movie is extremely underrated in terms of actual cinematography and direction, and the melancholy, intricate score only adds to the film's bizarre, fascinating atmosphere.
12 Iron & Wine
Around the Well

Love this guy. Nuff said.
