| Top Five Bond Songs.
I write James Bond fan fiction. To accompany my stories i like to record (a very rough demo of) a song i write to act as the song that accompanies a 007 films opening credits.
It would maybe be a bit arrogant of me to put any of my own songs on this list though, so i wont. | 1 | Kerli When Nobody Loves You
This song was used in the video game version of Quantum of Solace, and is much better than the frankly abhorrent Jack White/Alicia Keys effort. In fact, it's better than any other song that has been recorded for any purpose, ever. | 2 | Sheryl Crow Tomorrow Never Dies
It's bleak. And i like that. The instrumentation feels very icy, which works perfectly with the pre title sequence. | 3 | Carly Simon Nobody Does It Better
I like this song because it reminds me of myself. | 4 | Rita Coolidge All Time High
This song starts off like something Barry White might yelp over. Which means it's quite good to make love to. Which obviously comes in handy for me. | 5 | Paul McCartney and the Wings Live and Let Die
It's named after arguably the best of Flemming's novels, and certainly the best of the films. It's been performed to a much higher standard by other acts, but between the urgency of the interlude, and the lazy sounding romantic parts, it sums up James better than any other. | |

05.15.09 | no golden eye makes me sad, best film and best song by far in my eyes. | Asiatic667
05.15.09 | Eva Green is hawt | YesConsiderably
05.15.09 | GoldenEye was a great film. I think the music is the thing preventing it from being my favourite film of the Brosnan era (not including Tina Turners theme - that was really good and would have made the list had it been a top 6).
The score was terrible, and i'm not surprised that Eric Serra wasn't asked to do the music for any further Bond films.
Eva Green is hot. Not as hot as Lupe Lemora from License to Kill though. |
