Near And Dear

5 of My most fond albums in all of music.
1Fear Before
The Always Open Mouth

At first, i fucking hated this album so much when it came out. i was so impressed with art damage and odd how people shake that i couldnt grasp what they were trying to do with TAOM. it took me almost 2 years after the fact to get around to attempting to stomach it, and it somehow hit me really hard with how dumb i was for letting this almost go by. i SERIOUSLY listened to this album for almost 4 months straight after that.
i found something newly profound about this album every time i listened to it, and i have to say that it IS my Favorite album i have ever listened to.
No Doubt.
i will love this album for the rest of my days.
2 DYS
Fire And Ice

My Favorite Old School Hardcore Album. there's a lot to it, and i perfer this to any fan of the hardcore genre that hasnt gotten this yet.
this does not get as much props as Minor Threat, Black Flag, Or Bad Brains get, but this is right up there on that list for me.
totally love this album.
i chose this album because it is their album "Brotherhood" and their self titled together as one. they belong together in my honest opinion.
3Between the Buried and Me
The Silent Circus

this album reminds me of High School a lot, because only me n my friends listened to btbam, and we liked that... elitist or not, however that sounds, we werent really metalheads, but we liked metal that wasnt metallica or slayer, and most were put off by that.
i still perfer this, their S/T, and alaska to Colors and TGM.
but i like to be able to not always have to dedicate 45 minutes to listen to 2 songs.
dont get me wrong, i love colors and TGM, but i also like NOT having to dedicate so much time to digest them.
Condensed btbam is just as awesome for me.
and the bonus track at the end of this gives me tons of laughs to this day.
4Since By Man
We Sing The Body Electric

heard about em. got this album and didnt really give it much attention the first go 'round. something was off about it, and i wasnt quite ready for it. i gave it a month or two, and it clicked right then and there. dont know what else to say about this one. i just really FUCKING love this album. it does everything for me
5Paulson
All At Once

What once was thought to be a guilty pleasure of mine, listened to off and on, it still holds for me the same intensity and catchiness that it did the first times i got some of the songs stuck in my head. really good band live. really awesome album. i swear ive heard it all 500+ times. its strange to think about it.
