Albums I Purchased This Year

I actually paid money for these! Were they worth it? (warning: somewhat random)
1As I Lay Dying
The Powerless Rise

Totally worth it, freaking solid album.
2Caspian
Tertia

Not quite, a little monotonous for me, and I like post-rock.
3Continuance
Carry Ourselves

Yes, until finding out they broke up this summer. Way to go guys.
4Deftones
Diamond Eyes

Mmm I think so? Honestly I need to listen to it more, it's taken me awhile to get into the Deftones.
5Memphis May Fire
Sleepwalking

A pretty good buy I guess. A very fun album anyway, even though I can't say I've listened to the entire thing all the way through, gets a little repetitive.
6Relient K
Forget and Not Slow Down

meh.....hasn't caught my attention enough to listen to much. I kinda just buy these guys albums from habit, been listening to them since I was like 12.
7Thrice
The Illusion of Safety

Money well spent, I miss punk Thrice.
8This Will Destroy You
This Will Destroy You

I actually downloaded this first, and decided it was so spectacular I needed to pay for it to deserve the honor of listening. Love love love this album.
9 This Will Destroy You/Lymbyc System
Field Studies EP

Definitely worth it, was pleasantly surprised by Lymbyc System too.
10Haste The Day
Attack of the Wolf King

Actually only bought the single, but I plan on buying a physical copy sometime. Really stoked with their progression on this album.
11Broadway
Kingdoms

Meh, some great songs, but album as a whole wasn't quite as awesome as I had hoped. I was hoping it would be what Saosin's second LP should've been...
12Secret and Whisper
Teenage Fantasy

Another album I bought to fill the gaping hole Saosin's last album left in my heart. A little disappointed, but some decent songs still. Not quite worth the money though.
1336 Crazyfists
Collisions and Castaways

Pre-ordered it, because I'm a helpless fanboy when it comes to these guys. Huge disappointment, had I heard the whole album beforehand I never would've paid for it. Got a sweet t-shirt with the pre-order though...
14Periphery
Periphery

Mmmm, still not sure on this one...it's a lot to chew on. I kinda wish they'd just chill out the instrumental madness and just write more songs like Jetpacks Was Yes. Quality track that one.
15Comeback Kid
Broadcasting

Mostly worth it, but gets pretty repetitive for me. I'm still developing my appreciation for the whole hardcore punk thing though, so we'll see if it grows on me.
16Anberlin
Dark Is The Way, Light Is A Place

Worth it. Step back in the right direction from New Surrender.
17 This Will Destroy You
Moving on The Edge of Things - Single

Nope. This pretty much sucked, but it was only two bucks.
18 The Used
Untitled - Single

Sure, cuz I'm a sucker for all things The Used.
