10.11.10 | Thank god. I never thought I'd be so happy to see Monday come around. |
Gyromania
10.11.10 | I agree 100% |
Sheeple9000
10.11.10 | 2 is a "guilty pleasure" album |
LepreCon
10.11.10 | 4 is actually pretty good, considering it followed a few rather mediocre albums. Sure its not the Judas Priest I really want to be hearing but it's an interesting listen all the same. Agree with the rest though |
literalsurrealist
10.11.10 | I like Green Mind. Dinosaur Jr.'s stuff before and after is definitely better, though.
Also, I definitely agree with Heliocentric. Here's hoping it was a fluke and Anthropocentric is much better. |
Strider
10.11.10 | 6 is VERY disappointing |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | Leprecon- Really? I think it's terrible, just a pathetic excuse for metal.
literalsurrealist- I do like Green Mind. It's a pretty decent release, but it's hard to listen to when it's just J. Mascis, as much of a genius as he is. |
ZKG777
10.11.10 | I like a few of these but you make great points. |
LepreCon
10.11.10 | lol nothing Judas Priest could ever do would be a pathetic excuse for anything, who else could popularise gay BDSM getup amongst a predominantly straight male fanbase and get away with it? |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | "lol nothing Judas Priest could ever do would be a pathetic excuse for anything, who else could popularise gay BDSM getup amongst a predominantly straight male fanbase and get away with it"
Every group is fallible, especially in metal. I've heard some real clunkers from some established old-school metal acts, and "Nostradamus" was one of them. |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | Sorry maidenpmcc. You aren't good enough to post on this list. |
LepreCon
10.11.10 | Heh now I'll take that back a little, Demolition was an abomination |
FadeToBlack
10.11.10 | 6 and 8 have always sucked/been overrated (the bands i mean the albums fuckign suck obv) |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | No Terrifyer today, Fade? |
FadeToBlack
10.11.10 | that bitch got unbanned now i think havent checked yet, jus wasting time between letures |

10.11.10 | LOL @ GorgonzolaCheese1 |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | I'll leave that comment up for everyone to see how much of an idiot you are. |
MaskAtTheMasquerade
10.11.10 | i agree with everything that i've heard on here except one. i really enjoy the majority of that album, they can pull off the "poppier" music in my book. |
acorncheese
10.11.10 | ^ Ohhhhhhh hey there, Abel! |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | Nice way of changing that, maidenpmcc. Here, I'll post your original post:
GorgonzolaCheese1=Troll
You have to be the biggest idiot on this site. Period. And that's saying something. Up the irons, dude! |
Inveigh
10.11.10 | I thought 10,000 Days was pretty good, at least on-par with the rest of their stuff. Other than that I agree with this list |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | Blake, I've been a Tool fan as far back as I can remember(which isn't very far, but oh well), and while 10,000 Days might have been a good release for some, it was just "ok" for me. |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | Maidenpmcc, please stop posting on this list. If you want to talk about music, the kids table is over there. |
NEVERfade
10.11.10 | I reckon Adore was one of their best
and you accidently wrote PumpKINGS |
Inveigh
10.11.10 | yeah I'm just not that huge of a Tool fan so it wasn't as easy for me to be disappointed |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | "I reckon Adore was one of their best
and you accidently wrong PumpKINGS"
It was one of their best. They had 3 "best." Too bad that the worst of the best was one of their last 3 good albums. |
BigHans
10.11.10 | 4 suffers from double album bloat, although even if it was pared down to one disc it would still just be average. You definitely picked out the worst Muse album, and while Adore has a level of suck, there are some awesome songs on it, like Appls + oranjes. |
geng
10.11.10 | I'm quite the Tool fanboy and while 10k days is not as good as Aenima or Laterlus I still love it, the first half of the album is perfect. You're right about 6 though, I like Origin and Absolution and BHaR was ok, but what I've heard of The Resistance is wank. |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | Oh, and thanks for noticing that NEVERfade.
Hans, Adore doesn't suck, it just doesn't live up to the expectations that were garnered on "Mellon Collie." |
RainCat
10.11.10 | i actually like 1 but its not my favorite of theirs |
BallsToTheWall
10.11.10 | 2 RULES. |
Motiv3
10.11.10 | 5 and 8 have always been bad, especially 5, most overrated band on this site. I agree 6 was a big let down. |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | How has 5 always been bad? That's ridiculous. |
BigHans
10.11.10 | I remember being highly dissapointed when Disturbed - Believe came out |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | I remember being so excited when Disturbed-Believe came out, because I wasn't buy/downloading it. |
iPim
10.11.10 | You forgot st anger by metallica |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.11.10 | How is that a disappointing album when the band already sucks? |
brandnewAAAA
10.11.10 | Arcade Fire - The Suburbs should be on this list. Not a bad album, but rather disappointing after two brilliant ones. |
Spec
10.11.10 | 10,000 Days rules. |

10.11.10 | 10 000 days sucks so much...though so does everything tools |
yetanotherprofile
10.11.10 | 10,000 Days rules [5]
I do agree on Muse though, cannot stand them now. Calling Suicidal Tendecies a "38 minute shit-fest" is halarious also! |
zarquan99
10.11.10 | 5 and 6 were such a let down. Agreed there |
ConsiderPhlebas
10.11.10 | agree with all of this. I thought they were done after 10 but Death to Tyrants was sound. 8 is fucking lifeless. |
Romulus
10.12.10 | good call on 10, description and all |
Torii
10.12.10 | Agree with 5 |
BrahTheSunGod
10.12.10 | 5 and 6 are SO TRUE
also, 10,000 Days rules [6] |
AndManyMore
10.12.10 | i might be the only one that hasnt got into satellite years yet. i fuckin love magnetic north and a types was alright for me.. maybe i need to actually listen to it instead of using it as background noise. |
Pyosisified
10.12.10 | yea 3 wasnt great |
GorgonzolaCheese1
10.12.10 | Yeah, it was horrible. |
Pyosisified

10.12.10 | Join the army ruled |
AnotherBrick
10.12.10 | 8 is there best dammit |
Zion
10.12.10 | This line in 1 doesn't make any sense: "Despite songs like Parting of the Sensory and Dashboard, "We Were Dead.." was a giant disappointment, as the band began a foray into "poppier" waters." - DESPITE dashboard? That may just be the poppiest song they've ever recorded, and I'd say that it's probably what killed the album for me. |
Zion
10.12.10 | And yeah, 10,000 Days sucked balls, I enjoyed Lateralus (the only Tool album I can really tolerate.) |
AnotherBrick
10.12.10 | You suck balls |
horatiocaine
10.12.10 | Zion apparently can't read. |
elephantREVOLUTION
10.12.10 | 1 is so good. i like it more than good news. |
PanasonicYouth
10.12.10 | 1 is legit but isn't anywhere near as good as their old stuff
i do love spitting venom tho |
Crymsonblaze
10.12.10 | For some reason I found the term poop-glove very funny. |
Pastor of Muppets
10.13.10 | Put your hand in a pile of stinkys feces and see how funny it is.
Anyway, my opinion is that Tool had found a near perfect sound on Lateralus and didn't need to radically alter their style. Undertow to Aenima showed slight instrumental progression and strong lyrical/vocal progression, and Aenima to Lateralus showed strong instrumental progression and slight lyrical/vocal progression. 10,000 is Lateralus done even better. Except the two title tracks, I still can't get into those. |
