Delayed 2010 List

My top 20 picks for 2010!
22Adebisi Shank
This Is The Second Album Of A Band Called...

HONORABLE MENTION - A great, chilled out and varied piece of work.
21Senses Fail
The Fire

HONORABLE MENTION - An extremely solid effort
20Minus The Bear
Omni

Not up to par with Planet of Ice, but still a sexy listen
19Veil Of Maya
[id]

A real step up from their earlier effort and some impressive technical metal is to be found on this. Quite the treat!
18Underoath
Disambiguation

Even after the loss of all founding members. Metalcore front-runners manage to throw together an eclectic record that stands above the rest.
17In Fear And Faith
Imperial

A lot of people didn't like this but I found this to be a pretty good post-hardcore listen with some tasty sections.
16Ghostface Killah
Apollo Kids

Ghostface really steps it up from Ghostdini and makes one of my favorite rap records of 2010
15Buckethead
Shadows Between The Sky

This album is so laid back and so killer at the same time. I love it.
14Sleeping With Sirens
With Ears To See And Eyes To Hear

An extremely catchy and solid debut post hardcore record!
13Haste The Day
Attack Of The Wolf King

This is a great album! A solid mix of August Burns Red and Vanna in my opinion.
12Norma Jean
Meridional

These guys have never failed to disappoint me and their newest record is really sweet. "Bastardizer" And "The Anthem Of The Angry Brides" are great tracks.
11Circa Survive
Blue Sky Noise

On Blue Sky Noise, the songs really stand apart from eachother unlike the other two records. Which is a step up. Highlights are "Frozen Creek" and "Glass Arrows".
10Kanye West
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

This album really came out of left field after the auto-tuned mess that is called 808s and Heartbreak. With a song stretching 9 minutes and a lot of sampling, this is quite the hip hop release.
9Chiodos
Illuminaudio

This album was another surprise for me. Chiodos seems to be much more cohesive with their new singer and actually put out a quality album!
8Baptized In Blood
Baptized In Blood

A thrashy hardcore record produced by Mustaine. The face melting guitar solos and in-your-face attitude make this a must-have
7After The Burial
In Dreams

This is a pretty badass piece of djent-y deathcore that I'd reccomend to any fan of the genre.
6Coheed And Cambria
Year Of The Black Rainbow

Coheed has never disappointed me thus far. And Still haven't.
5War From A Harlots Mouth
MMX

Their debut record was a little TOO all over the place, they started to get their footing pretty well with In Shoals, and with MMX (their 3rd record), they really nail it.
4Secret And Whisper
Teenage Fantasy

This is an extremely catchy post-hardcore album that is the perfect Saosin meets Circa Survive sound. The guy even sounds like Anthony!
3The Contortionist
Exoplanet

This album reaches new heights in the death metal genre with it's ambitious songwriting and elegant execution.
2The Dillinger Escape Plan
Option Paralysis

This album is just fucking off the wall. They really pushed the boundries on the technicality this time around. I'm loving it.
1Periphery
Periphery

I'm not sure who will agree with me here. But this is one of the sexiest metal albums I've heard in awhile. While it seems to be a mixture of other bands sounds, it is still a sound that hasn't been heard before (At least to my knowledge). Kudos to these guys.
