09.29.11 | I have Jethro to thank for 3. Very nice instrumental prog with a strong classical influence. |

09.29.11 | Except #1 I'm blind here
Beyond the Shrouded Horizon is cool? |
JamieTwort
09.29.11 | Yeah Beyond the Shrouded Horizon is great, not quite up there with his earlier solo suff like Voyage of the Acolyte or Spectral Mornings but still really good. I need to give it a few more listens myself actually before I make my final verdict on the album, but the song Loch Lomond is excellent. |

09.29.11 | 3 seems interesting, will give it a listen when I have some time. |

09.29.11 | still need to get 5 |
JamieTwort
09.29.11 | Yeah 5 is great, that live version of Alchemy is beautiful. The new songs are great too. |

09.29.11 | hey u should definitely check out frank turner his latest album is superb |
JamieTwort
09.29.11 | Ok I will, thanks man. |

09.29.11 | Cheers JT, buddy. Yeah 3 is easily in my top 3 of the year. What a treat. Lighthearted symphonic prog at its best. Quite a bit similar to Steve Hackett, Camel, Harmonium and the likes. And there are some more to get from Hostsonaten since they created a season cycle suite. btw, I just listened to your Hackett' song, and it's pretty great. What a prolific artist! |
JamieTwort
09.29.11 | Yeah it's amazing that after all these years Hackett's still making music of such a high standard. Like I said in one of my
previous comments I need to give his new album a few more listens, but at the moment it's looking like it's gonna be a solid
4. |
Jethro42
09.29.11 | There is seriously a big deal of gems in the whole Hackett' collection except for ''Cured''. Also, take a look at ''Similar bands'' from the Hostsonaten page. check them out and if I were you I'd check for Harmonium, a classic prog band from my hometown. Have fun! |
JamieTwort
09.29.11 | I've been meaning to check out Harmonium after seeing you mention them a few times, I'll get right on that. As for Hackett, I've read a few reviews of his new album and some have said that it's better than Out of the Tunnel's Mouth and one of his best albums since the 70's. |

09.29.11 | ''...some have said that it's better than Out of the Tunnel's Mouth and one of his best albums since the 70's.''
God, if this is exact, I need to get that Hackett's last effort asap. I freaking love 'Out of the Tunnel Mouth' which is one of his bests since the 70s as well... |
