My Middle School Mixtape

I was right around 12 when I listened to this so don't tell me that I was wrong or what you would prefer.
5Slick Shoes
Burn Out

Pop-punk was sort of the soundtrack back then and you were definitely introduced to Slick Shoes.
4Zao
Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest

I was intrigued by anything anything musically incoherent when I was that age so I loved me some Zao. Also going along with the Christian band theme, this album gave you the idea that you were breaking the rules because so many people thought you could not scream and sing about faith. It's still an awesome album.
3Stavesacre
Speakeasy

I grew up going to church and attending youth group and this was sort of required listening back then. I still think the guitar and bass tones are amazing though.
2Five Iron Frenzy
Quantity is Job 1

I think ska is, or at least was, relevant to a lot of middle school kids. I still to this day though enjoy Five Iron Frenzy. So much so that I WILL be seeing them in June. Ska's not dead, it's just retarded.
1MxPx
Let It Happen

MxPx was my first real favorite band. I'm 24 and far too cool for them now, but I had a chance to see them a year back and it brought out the 12 year old in me.
