Underrated As F V C K

Six bands that you should probably be listening to
1Natural Law

Signed to Katorga works, a label known for their excellent hardcore bands, Natural Law is yet another band on their roster that upholds their extremely high standards. Playing fairly straightforward hardcore, Natural Law doesn't do anything new but plays with a very palpable passion that elevates them far above many of their peers. Recommended Release - Slump (2010)
2Tenebrae In Perpetuum

An Italian black metal band formed in 2001 (but now unfortunately disbanded), Tenebrae In Perpetuum is another band that played in a very straightforward manner, very highly influenced by the second wave of black metal. That being said these guys create a truly disturbing atmosphere no doubt thanks to their above average ability to write some of the most sinister black metal riffs I've ever heard. In addition to that, they also have amazing vocals, especially the cleans; far from prominent, there haunting yet beautiful presence really adds more depth to the overall compositions. Recommended Release - L'Eterno Maligno Silenzio (2009)
3Happy Particles

A slowcore/shoegaze band, it's amazing how much these guy can do so much with so little. Utilizing the minimalism of slowcore but the sheer bliss of shoegaze, instrumentally these guys will give you a smile ear to ear. Vocally, their dream pop derived performance deeply compliments the music. Recommended Release - Under Sleeping Waves
4Motley Crue (w/ John Corabi)

Even though they are my favorite band and they receive infinite praise and recognition, when it comes to their John Corabi era, the album they made together and his contributions go unfairly unnoticed. Corabi's presence in the band completely changed them, and although people would argue this just because they were "Motley Crue", their 1994 album is one of the heaviest things ever recorded. Bob Rock may have ruined Metallica, but for MC he worked wonders, giving their album one of the best productions I've ever heard. The guitars are gigantic hulks of downtuned heaviness and the drums, holy fuck does Tommy Lee create some devastatingly dense beats. Seriously, just take a listen to the first song "Power To The Music" and you'll know what I mean. /Rant
5The Gentle Art of Chokin'

Hailing from Germany, The Gentle Art of Chokin' are an awesome powerviolence band, offering pieces of energetic and technical music and that will pummel you due the sheer will of its aggressive nature. Recommended Release - The Gentle Art of Chokin'
6Leper

Black metal infused ska from Canada; it may sounds like a dumb idea but thanks to their great songwriting and the addition of hardcore and crust elements, their style is surprisingly cohesive and incredibly enjoyable. Recommended Release - End Progress
