Eyedea Ranked

sup, best MC
1Eyedea & Abilities
By the Throat

5/5, an absolute masterpiece in every sense of the word, last two songs are the best and most emotional/totally riveting he ever wrote
2 Oliver Hart
The Many Faces of Oliver Hart

His best cohesive piece of work overall, flows incredibly well even jumping from bragging to deadly serious, inventive and fun and catchy and ridiculous, 4.8/5
3Eyedea & Abilities
First Born

Inconsistent but great first effort, some of his best lyrics but weaker on the delivery and flow than his others. Great work from Abilities. 4.1/5
4Carbon Carousel
The Some of All Things

Refreshingly different from his other work, gritty and harsh and brutal, confused and almost totally unstructured in a beautiful way, 4/5
5Carbon Carousel
Nervous

Too short to be satisfying and as such it's hard to compare to his other work but Skinny is a fucking masterpiece, 3.8/5
6Face Candy
This Is Where We Were

Terrific to hear him at his most raw and freestyling but lacks the depth of his pre-written work, does tend to drag on a bit and the interaction between the rappers isn't as good as it could be, 3.4/5
7Eyedea & Abilities
E&A

Decent enough but too many bragging songs which undermine both his great sense of humour and serious side. This was definitely Abilities' moment to shine but Eyedea steps back as a result. Still a few of his best songs sprinkled here and there, 3.2/5
8Eyedea
The Many Faces of Mikey

It's an album of demos and it sounds like an album of demos, but there's still a lot to enjoy here if you're a hardcore fan, and seeing lyrics from unreleased songs which later pop up in his released work is satisfying. 2.5/5
