It sounds exactly like what As I Lay Dying would sound with Shane Blay, that's for sure

I really miss the aggression Tim brought to the band. This also lacks the riffs that AILD had. The instrumentation is definitely
more melodically focused.

Yeah this is essentially AILD without harsh vox. It's good. But would be a lot better with some harsh vocals.

This was pretty fun if nothing else

In an interview Tim said he wrote most of the riffs for AILD anyways, so that kinda explains the lack thereof.

He said that was early on. I doubt that was the case on the more recent albums.

Yeah, not bad. Though, it's tough to listen to with all that's happened to AILD.

WOW that was great!! Who would of knew? It's a little mainstream though but it's sick.

Yeah, riffs are lacking a bit but really good nonetheless

I think Tim said he wrote about half of the Powerless Rise and An Ocean Between Us. Awakened apparently didn't have Tim write any of it. That's interesting because Awakened is generally believed to be disappointing in comparison to the previous two LPs.

It basically sounds like AILD with safer songwriting and a lack of screaming. Actually...I really dig it.

So this is basically a watered down, extremely safe version of AILD. No thank you.

I remember the first song they released was tight as fuck. Will definitely check this out. Straight clean vocals are a slight disappointment but could be pretty refreshing and Shane is pretty beast.

Yeah, I'm trying to like this as a fan of AILD and Oh, Sleeper but I'm having a really hard time actually liking it. I feel like i'm liking it because of those things, not because it's actually really connecting with me.
