But fo real dough. Can they cut this shit out?
|
| |
2. Wrecking Ball - August Burns Red
Oh shit
|
| |
literally these are the worst things ever
except for the abr ones because they at least make it humorous.
|
| |
Up those punx, this tracklist is hxc af
|
| |
August Burns Red cover will probably be fairly legit
Can't stand it when they do good songs though. Like, the Royals and Sweater Weather covers are probably going to be infinitely worse than the actual songs. And the Ain't it Fun and Turn Down For What covers. And the Happy and Problem and I Knew You Were Trouble.....
|
| |
Imagine Miley covering back burner lol
|
| |
Sweet, I actually really like these because it's fun showing people that like the original songs the bastardized versions of them.
|
| |
That's so true lol^
|
| |
"Upon A Burning Body & Ice T" lmao
|
| |
These are gr8. Not even kidding here
|
| |
Hyped for the ABR cover.
Fairly confident in Volumes pulling off Drake, too.
|
| |
Did they ever do punk gangnam style
|
| |
No, they have yet to make a punk cover
|
| |
Hyped for the ABR cover. [2]
Their "hit me baby one more time" cover was great!
|
| |
whoever had the idea to makes these should like maybe stop
|
| |
if by massacre you mean absolutely butcher then yeah duder
|
| |
I found a 'punk' version of Gangnam Style on YouTube by a band called Forever Ends Today and it's amazing... in a way
|
| |
August Burns Red's version is gonna be awesome
|
| |
some of the bands doing these songs aren't nearly as bad as previous years, but the song choice just makes me cringe
|
| |
This seriously needs to stop.
|
| |
still waiting for a punk goes punk album
|
| |
Upon A Refreshing Ice - T
|
| |
That's gonna be worse than when Ice was on a Black Sabbath song.
|
| |
abr volumes and knuckle puck songs should be alright the rest will be shite though especially UABB ft Ice T
"ugh i thought since snide left i wouldn't need to hear about terrible bullshit i don't care about"
snide left again? lmao
|
| |
Can't wait for the ABR cover of Wrecking Ball. Kind of interested to hear Volumes covering Drake, but I can't imagine it will be good.
|
| |
7. Drunk In Love - Oceans Ate Alaska
this will be worse than hitler.
|
| |
fucking well excited for this hahahah
|
| |
who even are any of these non-abr bands
|
| |
Stoked for ABR, Volumes, and Oceans Ata Alaska. everything else can fuck off
|
| |
Stoked for Set It Off.
But.
No Memphis May Fire?
I'm sad.
|
| |
state champs should be fun
|
| |
I can never listen to anything off these anymore after hearing how badly Falling In Reverse butchered Gangsta's Paradise
|
| |
zzzzzzzzz
|
| |
Actually interested in seeing what Volumes does with Drake
|
| |
I remember enjoying the A Day to Remember cover of The Fray from one of these when i was like 14
|
| |
Here's the thing we started out frannnds it was good but it was all pre te hend
Yeah yeah
|
| |
The We Came As Romans cover is already released, you can hear it on www.punkgoes.com if you even want to
|
| |
dont
|
| |
I'm curious to hear this, as it will be awful.
|
| |
Don't even know who half these fucking bands are.
And seriously Volumes, what are you doing participating in this shit.
|
| |
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
|
| |
10. Chocolate - Knuckle Puck
Knuckle Puck. You're a great band. Why are you guys selling yourselves out with this crap?
|
| |
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
|
| |
who the fuck are youth in revolt
|
| |
I thought 'I don't know any of these guys!' before realising I was reading the titles, and then I saw the ACTUAL artists and it made me sad.
|
| |
Great, another bunch of genericore bands covering crappy pop songs. Can they just stop already, this is getting silly.
|
| |
I'm not a huge fan of the series but these bands are awesome. I'm excited. Set It Off and Youth And Revolt will kill it.
|
| |
a few of these bands are pretty respectable tbh
|
| |
genuinely excited about 11
|
| |
genuinely excited about all of these
|
| |
genuinely excited about 11[2]
Yeah slaves is awesome and I dug the nbhd a while ago
|
| |
Going to be eargasmic as hell
|
| |
'Upon A Refreshing Ice - T'
I lol'd
|
| |
Ice T is actually in a metal band. They're called Body Count.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sokdL-0iV9s
|
| |
But fo real dough. Can they cut this shit out?[2]
2. Wrecking Ball - August Burns Red
Oh shit[2]
I hate this shit. like 3 covers were actually decent.
How the fuck is Upon A Burning body and ABR punk?
Covering Ain't it Fun? The Paramore song? What the fuck?! Paramore sucks as it is.
|
| |
None of these are actually punk bands but record labels suck at classifying shit so
|
| |
''Punk'' goes poop.
|
| |
abr should have done the lorde cover
|
| |
Surprised no one is doing "Fancy."
I'm sure most of these will suck but there will be some good ones as usual.
|
| |
watch this now:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1IPu5cqMEE
|
| |
no pls
|
| |
pop metal goes pop
|
| |
Youth in revolt is a movie though
|
| |
1. A lot of these comments are annoying
2. The fact that Knuckle Puck is on here is hilarious.
3. I like these albums normally, but this one will be shit.
|
| |
There are a few gems in the "Pop Goes" series. Bayside's cover of Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls is a billion times better than the original. Every Avenue absolutely kills it on "Take Me Home Tonight".
|
| |
best worst things ever
|
| |
Knuckle Puck being on here is very strange
|
| |
shamelessly stoked to hear volumes cover drake
|
| |
Literally know 3 of these bands.
Am I getting old?
|
| |
This series has kinda outstayed its welcome tbh.
There are always a couple decent, but they're never going to top Silverstein's cover of Apologize.
|
| |
I kinda figured it was because they weren't that popular because I'm full of hubris
I looked up a few of them and they're all mid-level with at least half a million views on their most popular videos
|
| |
lmao I don't know a single one of those fucks... except August Burns Red I guess
|
| |
Silverstein topped silversteins apologize with runaway
|
| |
"None of these are actually punk bands but record labels suck at classifying shit so"
They're all very, very, very, very(x10) distantly related to punk. Metalcore, post hardcore, and hardcore all came from punk. Honestly, they're all so different from it now it's pointless to even enforce that.
|
| |
'They're all very, very, very, very(x10) distantly related to punk. Metalcore, post hardcore, and hardcore all came from punk. Honestly, they're all so different from it now it's pointless to even enforce that. '
On the early punk goes pop they had some actual punk bands covering songs.
|
| |
4. Turn Down For What - Upon A Burning Body & Ice T
I don't get it. How could band like Upon A Burning Body do a cover of something like "Turn Down For What"? But, whatever, if UAAB fans have forgave Danny Leal for that insanely stupid publicity stunt, then they can eat this cover up. I'm waiting for this cover just to see how awful it will be.
(Says the man who actually liked "Red.White.Green" and some "The World Is My Enemy Now")
|
| |
20% build 5% shitty industrial synth 75% breakdown just like the rest of their bullshit what's not making sense to you.
|
| |
cliiint, I thought that UAAB weren't using synths. Still the idea of them covering "Turn Down For What" is stupid.
|
| |
1. Tyler Delayinghissoloproject/Lukedecentdrummerfromwhatband?
2. August Burns Mediocre Pop Artists
3. We Came As Synthesizers
4. Upon A Burning Career & Law and Order: Special Victims Unit
5. Set It To MCR Jr
6. Crown the Record Label's Bank Account
7. Oceans Ate 2005
8. That movie with that Michael Cera dudette
9. Kicked off Warped Tour for fucking with Walmart
10. Why are we on here.
11. Slaves to Jonny Craig
12. Why are we on here.
13. Age of Empire's Palisades were better.
|
| |
August Burns Red posted a teaser for their cover on Instagram, sounds pretty good so far
|
| |
Just realized that Oceans Ate Alaska are on here. Thought they were too small time to get on this.
|
| |
"Oceans Ate 2005"
"Slaves to Jonny Craig"
lmfao
|
| |
forthefallencheese, your comment just made my day!
And seriously? Volumes got kicked off Warped Tour for an incident in Walmart? What happened there? Lol.
|
| |
Volumes trashed a Walmart, don't know the specifics. Just look up "Volumes kicked off Warped Tour on google"
|
| |
"cliiint, I thought that UAAB weren't using synths. Still the idea of them covering "Turn Down For What" is stupid."
sounds like some programmed bs. admittedly I wasn't listening very closely
|
| |
Volumes got kicked off a punk tour for a day for trashing one of the largest capitalist offenders in our current day and age.
Fuck Warped Tour so hard. Any half-decent, self-respecting punk would be giving them high fives and shots.
|
| |
warped tour is basically a day camp for shitty kids these days tho
|
| |
But Volumes isn't punk, they're Djent which is like Punk in potty training.
|
| |
as shitty as djent is, punk is way more juvenile in comparison
|
| |
"as shitty as djent is, punk is way more juvenile in comparison"
If your exposure to "punk" has consisted of Green Day, then yes.
|
| |
my exposure to punk begins with greenday and ends with blink 182. I believe that's a wide enough gap to speak on the genre as a whole.
|
| |
Lol cliiint thats so wrong that it's not even funny.
|
| |
"my exposure to punk begins with greenday and ends with blink 182. I believe that's a wide enough gap to speak on the genre as a whole. "
Even if you're being sarcastic that's pretty dumb
|
| |
"lol...not even funny"
what.
"even if you're being sarcastic that's pretty dumb"
okay. I've listened to a pretty wide variety of punk and in both composure and ability I'd say djent > punk.
|
| |
I'll say this: nobody plays djent or punk for an entire music career.
Unless you're Fat fucking Mike.
|
| |
if either one could provide a decent salary I'm sure there would be a lot more fat mikes
|
| |
