What a shitty album name
Track's decent
| |
The new track is very straight to the point. It reminds me of Isolation of a Light Source from their split with Thursday. Pretty cool and I look forward to the release.
| |
Yep, it sounds like Envy. Which isn't to say that's bad. I like Envy, especially All Your Footprints...but after too much Envy the vocalist starts to grow tiresome. His vocal patterns are always similar.
| |
I've yet to get tired of the vocalist to be honest. This should be good but I like everything they've done.
| |
Vocals are as mudane as ever.
| |
Songs pretty good though.
| |
Fuck yeah. Album names pretty awful though.
| |
i was excited but then the same old vocals started
| |
I enjoy the vocals. Though y'all are right, they're exactly what one would expect from him
| |
Yeah I'm not sure what you guys expect from the vocals. Sounds pretty good.
| |
I wasn't expecting anything from them. That's why I've never got into this band, his voice is painfully bland.
| |
his voice isnt bland its just stagnant
| |
Thus making him sound bland.
| |
Yeah I love this band instrumentally but holy Christ he's gotten irritating over time
| |
A shame, the music on this is really sweet.
| |
Legendary band, I suspect the album title sounds a hell of a lot cooler in Japanese.
"I wasn't expecting anything from them. That's why I've never got into this band, his voice is painfully bland."
Admittedly he doesn't sound too great on this track, but I disagree completely; he used to pack a lot of feels into it (Left Hand, and Reason and Oblivion are both epic performances).
| |
Gues I'm the minority that always found his voice a little too repetitive. Though i will give credit he had a lot of emotion put into the songs.
| |
Yea I've always been fine with the vocals but I understand why they'd be irritating to some
| |
basically same rythm and inflection on every single line that is sung. i wish this band went instrumental. they do postrock better than anyone else.
| |
"i wish this band went instrumental. they do postrock better than anyone else."
It would work.
| |
"basically same rythm and inflection on every single line that is sung. i wish this band went instrumental. they do postrock better than anyone else."
this
| |
omg people listen to Abyssal
| |
It's not that great.
| |
Go instrumental, or get a different singer. I can imagine the band practices and the singer being like "what if I do this?" Other band members too afraid to say "Well, you've already done that...for 50 songs..."
| |
"It's not that great."
Abyssal is phenomenal
| |
Faded Sun hit the nail bang on the head for how I feel on his vocals.
| |
Yep
The sad thing is that they've actually become more homogenous with every album, like on "All the Footprints" he's really not that bad
| |
That album and prior he was much more aggressive. They were solely a hardcore band then
| |
He just makes all that epic hardcore music sound the same. A shame to say, but that's all I hear.
| |
New (really weird) music vid for a different song off of the album that I'm too tired to make a news article for:

| |
I dig that track too, seems this album will have a good bit of energy.
And I agree that Abyssal is awesome.
| |
no im totally glad they went postrock. theyre masters of postrock, theres so much beauty in their guitar work and songwriting over all. then they got some dude throwing terrible vocals over everything. i do still enjoy listening to this band because the instrumentation is so good but i have to tune out the vocals. but they cant get rid of him because that would be awkward and presumably he is the front man.
| |
That new song is great
| |
He'll yeah, a lot better than this one
| |
Yeah, it's too l late to lose the vocalist now. I'm sure they're all very good friends and it would be awkward if all the sudden they tell the guy to get lost.
