riffs rule. never loved their vocals and this is no exception. still stoked for this either way.
| |
Had no idea the band was back together, this is pretty good stuff!
| |
I can dig this
| |
Interesting.
| |
the chorus is off putting at first, but totally grows on you. Song is pretty SikTh, and even if it feels slightly more prog-metal-ey than before it still rules. Glad i preordered that signed vinyl.
| |
this is so shitty i can't even believe this band has a backing
| |
it's fun!

These guys are a boatload of fun. Nice track.
| |
I liked it but I didn't instantly fall in love with it like their first two albums. This album will be a grower for me but I will love it.
| |
that korn stuff he's trying to do with his voice is ruining the song for me.
| |
I like it but I feel like more could have been done vocally. One of the reasons why I love this band is the interplay between Mikee and Justin. That weirdness really drew me into the band. Hopefully the other songs have a little bit more ferocity.
| |
YES
| |
haha calc that is a perfect way of putting it, definitely sounds like he's channeling JD
that being said, the track is great! the beginning is a little slow but the end is really killer
| |
Honestly liked this more than some of their fan-beloved material. Can't wait to hear the rest of this beast.
| |
Sounds like a mix of Korn & Periphery to me, song rules big time though
| |
This really lacks intensity and really sounds a lot more run of the mill than their history deserves. I'm disappointed.
| |
I'm getting Wayne Static vibes on the vocals personally.
| |
Damn this goes hard
| |
just great to hear them back again
solid track
| |
Does it djent tho
| |
Absolutely slays. So glad Sikth are still releasing new music.
| |
I could have sworn this said new silk thong video the first time I saw it.
| |
Excellent, excellent track.
| |
YES.
Song rules as expected, and I'm ridiculously excited for the new album.
| |
Holy fuck as soon as that intro hit I was nodding my fucking head off. Such a damn good song, glad to hear it.
Intro riff sounds a bit like the intro riff to Sanguine Seas too
| |
will probably wait until the full thing drops. needless to say these comments have me excited
| |
Mini-album?
How about EP?
| |
SikTh has always sounded like this and the fact you guys are comparing them to Korn and Periphery is absolutely disgusting
| |
This totally rules. I'm so glad SikTh lives!
| |
sounds like a shittier version of korn mixed with linkin park mixed with emmure
| |
Linkin park and Emmure? Man... Some people in this thread have been taking hard drugs for a while.
| |
SIKTH LIIIIIIVES. And it ruuuuules
| |
i just want more aliases
| |
I've been waiting for this for 9 years. And the mini album drops on my goddamn birthday. So fucking excited.
But to the nerds comparing this to Emmure and Korn... Just stop. Go listen to Periphery and try and convince yourselves it's not shit. Nerds.
| |
Yeah fuck periphery
| |
Oh baby, I'm excited
| |
Never heard a single song by Sikth before hearing this. Man was I impressed! That ending was so intense! I guess that means it's time to go listen to their whole discography.
| |
One of the most creative, tightly-knit metal bands is back, and still has it. I am hard on this day.
| |
im really missing the tech. : (
You aren't listening close enough
| |
so good
| |
Stoked for my signed copy to arrive untz untz
| |
Expected butthurt fans, wasn't dissapointed. The vocals have some kind of Korn vibe and the instrumental djenty riffage kinda reminds me of Periphery. Never heard this band but this sounds amazing, way better than the Periphery or Korn
| |
pretty good stuff and I'm glad they're back together, can't wait for the rest of the EP. backed it for the vinyl already lol
| |
Bow to the masters
| |
Beardog - both their albums are exquisite.
Some of the best tech metal around. And this is no exception, track rules hard.
| |
I agree with bloc on that the intro riff is similar to Sanguine Seas of Bigotry too.
That tuning they use sounds great.
| |
haha goddamn this song is fun
| |
The more I listen to it, the more I like.
The choruses are fantastic.
| |
Oh man this rules. Periphery wish they were this fun.
| |
Sounds better than it did yesterday
| |
Man this gets better and better with every listen, welcome back Sikth!
| |
Ah man, you guys.....that ending had me spinning. I wasn't sure what was happening. I didn't know whether to laugh, be scared, or go insane.
| |
Agreed Bigpleb
| |
eww vocals at the beginning suck
| |
I don't like this, probably won't be listening to them again.
| |
Mikee Goodman has explicitly stated that Jonathan Davis is someone who has inspired his vocal style. That is not a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination.
| |
@Alias I never said that I like people getting butthurt, I just knew people would be getting butthurt if I compared these guys with Korn and Periphery, but that's just what I think it sounds like. It's a shitload better though
| |
double post aight. great song
| |
Glad they're back. This rules.
| |
never thought this day would come.
| |
@Alias, I said that I expected people to get butthurt and that I wasn't dissapointed because people got butthurt. I was't dissapointed because what I expected actually happened, not because I like people getting butthurt
| |
Nah everyone would expect metal elitists to flip out when you compare their favourite band to something like Korn and Periphery. At least people don't get too butthurt here
| |
I've never understood the comparisons between the two vocalists, but then again, I think I've only heard 2 or 3 Korn songs in my entire life.
| |
