song was way too short but it was still good! And I'm sure its ending will fittingly work as a transition to the next song, so its length presumably won't be a problem. HYPE.
| |
fuck. yes.
| |
Hammock is the best
| |
*yawn*
| |
I think drops is too strong a verb for this band. more like "calmly lays down" new song
| |
*YAAAAAWN*
| |
drums and vocals but where are the riffs??? neg
| |
@keyblade reported for killing my vibe
| |
(little yawn)
| |
Am I wrong in thinking this will put me to sleep in the least fulfilling way? Departure Songs is the only album I have heard that I feel is more than just ambient nothingness.
| |
it was alright. could work in the context of an album.
| |
nah, this song is way more conventional by Hammock standards. Theres some pretty audible, simple lyrics, and there's definitely a hook or two to the song.
| |
Pots with the desperate **PAY ME ATTENTION** vibes
| |
Sputnik late with this one. The song has been out a week.
Pots is embarrassing himself. I feel ashamed just for referencing his thoughtful comments.
| |
*gasp*
| |
If this is the direction they're going then I'm insanely excited tbh
| |
post-rock is dead and white kids on the internet killed it
| |
Calling hipster-hop as the next dead genre
| |
even Swans is like, "fuck it, this is our last album"
rip post-rock
| |
Nice melodies and all but I really wish they would've moved the studio out of the gigantic underwater cavern they recorded this in
| |
"Calling hipster-hop as the next dead genre"
not sure a genre that doesnt exist can die tbh
| |
'even Swans is like, "fuck it, this is our last album"
rip post-rock'
This isn't post rock. Swans isn't post rock.
Let me tell you how genres I don't listen to/understand are dead.
Reggae is dead. I said so
| |
'white kids on the internet killed it'
Also this was and always has been/ will be the target demographic so...
| |
I like thi, but I have a soft spot for this ambienty-mellow-post-rocky-twinkly stuff
| |
Swans last few albums are considered post-rock and Soundtracks was a big post-rock album sooooo
| |
see I love Hammock and I found this really, really boring
| |
This isn't post rock. Swans isn't post rock.

Hammock
ambientpost rockshoegazetag
Fuck off, you goddamned retard.
| |
band in general is way more ambient and shoegaze and probably dream pop (bc i totes know what that is) than it is post-rock tho.
| |
Someone should pop the dream you people are living in.
| |
great and ethereal as always
| |
Sounds like every other hammock song, which is okay in my book since I'm like their stuff, even though it get's kinda boring.
| |
not like every hammock song but yeah they've done this kinda stuff for a plenty of times
| |
Yeah the last release was kinda different (and way worse tbh) and I guess their very early stuff is a bit different too.
| |
they've had quite a few albums of pure ambience, and i don't think their last one was any weaker than the previous stuff. it just requires a bit different kind of mindset
| |
Their brand of ambient never did anything for me personally, even though I'm into alot of other ambient stuff. But to each his own.
| |
their last release was way worse? fuck off. my mind was a fog is one of it not their best song
| |
I have to agree oblivion hymns was not their best but their worst is still pretty damn lovley, yknow
| |
oblivion hymns wasn't their last release guys
| |
sleepover 2 was a compilation, but i guess i'm being a little technical
| |
random note but i never realized that the song titles of OH formed a poem until like yesterday
| |
compilation is a release but yeah whatever
