New Cloud Nothings album, song, tour

2016-10-12 by ThomasTheCure | 18 Comments
Indie rock band Cloud Nothings has announced a new album titled Life Without Sound, slated for release on January 27, as well as a world tour to support the LP. In addition, a new single, "Modern Act," has been released from the album.

Frontman Dylan Baldi has said of the album:
"Generally, it seems like my work has been about finding my place in the world. But there was a point in which I realized that you can be missing something important in your life, a part you didn't realize you were missing until it's there—hence the title. This record is like my version of new age music. It's supposed to be inspiring."

Someone wants more airplay. Shite.

Marking this down as my biggest musical disappointment of the year if the rest of the album is this bland.

Their last album had nothing on attack on memory. That album was fantastic.

Their last album was one of the most promising rock albums of the last decade and much improved compared to 'Attack on Memory'. An all time great drumming album at the very least.

Last album was way better than attack on memory [3]

Not as offended by this as some, but definitely hoping the rest of the album has more bite.

This song is great, no clue what y'all are talking about. Once you get past the fact that he's singing better than usual I think the potency of the hook really shines through. Seems like a spiritual successor to "I'm Not Part of Me" off the last record
