i think there's been some rumblings about this but im pretty sure this is the first official announcement, with release date and everything.
really stoked about it. so glad i was able to catch this lineup when they came to seattle.

| |
Will watch
| |
oh fuck yeah dude
| |
New LP to go with this would be real nice
| |
Love the trailer! Looking forward to this.
| |
jesse!!!!
| |
excited for this, time to jam Of Malice now
| |
k

What unanswered questions are there? The only one I could think of would be what "The Year Summer Ended in June" is about.
| |
idk have they ever explained why all their albums after of malice suck ?
| |
ayyyyyy didn't they have a documentary come out a while ago? i never watched it but i seem to remember watching a trailer about it
| |
What happened to the last vocalist?
| |
"idk have they ever explained why all their albums after of malice suck ?"
Pretty sure most of the fanbase agrees that "Controller" is a solid album.
| |
How coincidental; I've been reppin' these guys all morning.
| |
'"idk have they ever explained why all their albums after of malice suck ?"

IMO, Controller > Malice
| |
No mention of Karl here in the preview... a little sad considering he put in his due time.
| |
Damn this is awesome, gonna watch it as soon as it comes out
| |
niiiice
| |
idk have they ever explained why all their albums after of malice suck ?
this fucking guy
| |
Controller and Of Malice are both solid 5s to me
| |
"No mention of Karl here in the preview... a little sad considering he put in his due time."
Well considering this doc is apparently about the Malice X tour...
| |
Absent Light is great. Just throwin' that out there.
| |
Agreed, but it's their weakest album
| |
its not though
| |
Mirrors is their weakest.
| |
yeah
| |
Fucking finally OMG
| |
Actually yea Mirrors is their weakest, I blanked that album out when I was thinking of which was the weakest haha. All of their albums are great tho
| |
agreed
| |
Of Malice - 5/5
Mirrors - 3.5/5
Controller - 4/5
Absent Light - 4/5
| |
My rankings are the same except Controller is a 5
| |
You guys are seriously sleeping on Mirrors. I replayed that album last weekend and it clicked so hard. That title track is the best closer they've ever made.
| |
Oh and I can't wait to watch this
| |
It's more like a 3.7 to me tbh, but I'll have to spin it again soon because I haven't listened to Mirrors in full in a while
| |
Mirrors has some great songs, especially Failsafe. It's good, I just think it's their weakest. I'd say I like it as much as Absent Light, might be nostalgia fucking with me.
| |
love the dudes but seriously what about karl? dude deserves some mention at least
| |
It sounds like someone even says in the trailer that the lineup with Jesse is the strongest lineup they have ever had, which imo is a bit harsh considering they did 3 successful albums with another guy on vocals.
| |
Mirrors has sick songs but the mix is pretty dirty. Every album is a banger
| |
^^^^^^^^^
| |
Not even a big fan of these dudes but that trailer looks nice
| |
Praying they release an album with this.
Also I agree with Spec. Karl was a fucking massive part of the band... Shame
| |
I got an early look at this and it's fucking great. Lots of questions in the above comments will be answered.
Also Malice=Controller > Absent Light > Mirrors
| |
"It sounds like someone even says in the trailer that the lineup with Jesse is the strongest lineup they have ever had, which imo is a bit harsh considering they did 3 successful albums with another guy on vocals."
The doc is brutally honest at some points and I think that's what people will appreciate most about it.
| |
"This line up was the strongest inception of this band to date" uh no dude
| |
Controller is my favorite metalcore album in general
| |
It's up there for me. The whole album is solid all the way through.
| |
Controller is still by far their best album. Easily in my top 5 of all time.
This looks cool regardless though!
| |
looks like i will be listening to misery signals again for a while
| |
Controller is so fucking solid. Really one of the few metalcore albums that held up after my teenage years.
| |
malice>controller > s/t ep > absent light > mirrors
| |
"Controller is my favorite metalcore album in general"
Me and Trebor agree on something. Holy shit.
| |
Malice / Controller > Absent Light > Mirrors
| |
Mirrors is better than Absent Light tbh.
| |
mirrors is SO much better than absent light are you guys smoking crack
| |
I like orchestral sections and quieter sections in Absent Light. Mirrors, while still an awesome MS album, feels middling in overall production quality.
| |
As much as I love Absent Light, Mirrors is so much better. Even if the production is a little muddy, some of the best songs of their career live on that record. Does anybody know if this is the permanent lineup going forward, or what happened to Karl? Hyped for the doco, regardless.
| |
Karl has been out for a couple months now, and I still have no idea why
| |
Great band. Will watch. Also mirrors destroys absent light
| |
No Karl no interest
| |
i thought Of Malice was their worst.
| |
