Monster Magnet released the first single off their upcoming 10th studio effort, Mindfucker, due out on March 23 through Napalm Records. The title track can be listened to at the following link (plus there's a list with all the European tour dates): http://www.kerrang.com/the-news/monster-magnets-new-song-is-a-proto-punk-banger/

Regarding the LP, front man Dave Wyndorf commented: "Mindfucker‘ is a fuzzed out, headbangin’ celebration of hard rock and 21st Century paranoia. Ten fuel-injected, nitro-burning tracks of fiery rock ‘n’ roll and garage psych madness, all done MONSTER MAGNET style."

Tracklist:
1. Rocket Freak
2. Soul
3. Mindfucker
4. I'm God
5. Drowning
6. Ejection
7. Want Some
8. Brainwashed
9. All Day Midnight
10. When The Hammer Comes Down

tbh i don't have high hopes for this record after hearing the new song, it sounds like something i would like to hear from them again, but still kinda falls short. i know that these dudes are old now, but i wish they had some powertrip fire left in 'em. hopefully, the song will work better in the context of the album too

His vocals haven't changed in 25 years. That's a hard thing to do.

They should quit. This is so flat and boring.

Last Patrol was their best album since God Says No or even Powertrip. They should definitely not quit.

Yeah, I'm sure this album will be good at the very least.

Seems like they're going for a more strightfoward/hard rock direction here. Have no problems with it, band always kicks ass.

Sounds dope as fuck. As long as these guys can release albums with the quality of "last patrol", i'm quite fine. It doesn't have to be "Powetrip" or "dopes to infinity" level.

I am not sure about this album after hearing this track. The actual MindFucker album was Last Patrol. If they release a album even half as good as Last Patrol, i''ll take it.

Am I the only one who finds "Powertrip" to be totally overrated? That album gives me absolutely nothing and was the start of their testosterone-filled phase. Last Patrol on the other hand was a great return to form.
