if a new LP was announced before the two singles were revealed I'd be stoked
but I'm not expecting much after those singles...
|
| |
My Enemy is boring as fuck and has like 4 too many choruses but at least it’s more exciting than any National song
|
| |
the album art is terrible, i'm sad they're ruining their great streak. songs are great though, very excited
|
| |
I like the album art and the songs. But I'm a sucker for them for some reason
|
| |
"My Enemy is boring as fuck and has like 4 too many choruses"
CHVRCHES has pulled off too many choruses before, Recover and Leave a Trace both have a million
|
| |
not listening, still gonna 1 star it tho
|
| |
^^ so much edge i almost confused this user for a cubist painting
the matt berninger feature sounds awesome, can't wait for this
|
| |
wow what an intellectually switched on and almost indie response
|
| |
The two singles are nothing special but like all CHVRCHES songs I still like them. *Sigh* I'm also a sucker for them.
|
| |
"wow what an intellectually switched on and almost indie response"
um...what?
|
| |
Oh great the most watered-down and boring indie pop band around. Hooray
|
| |
get out is ok
my enemy bad
|
| |
Love me some CHVRCHES
|
| |
These guys' previous singles were great; that being said I find the rest of their material to be fairly underwhelming.
These are more of the same... I imagine they'd be fun to catch live, though.
|
| |
I like both singles but I'm not blown away, that being said whilst I enjoy their previous works, my high rating on those is more down to nostalgia than anything. This album is gonna be a 3.5 at most I bet.
|
| |
Get Out isn't bad, but it's way too simplistic, basically CHVRCHES on autopilot.
My Enemy is much better and if the album is more like that song it will be good.
|
| |
Not encouraged by what I've heard so far
|
| |
"um...what?"
haha. these skinny hipsters types always have the same sardonic type of response. they like to post single word responses as if they're speaking to a neanderthal-like lesser being. someone who still uses words like 'obscure' to describe neutral milk hotel.
|
| |
no that statement just made zero fucking sense
you don't sound very smart tbh
|
| |
I'm sorry but it's a well known fact that users with Saosin 5s and large post-hardcore piechart chunks are not allowed to talk about pop music
|
| |
radio fodder track, but still ok.
|
| |
that being said i'm sure this album will probably suck tbh
|
| |
i like both singles but im a sucker for this stuff
art is nice in a trashy neon way
|
| |
cover looks like a UK DnB compilation you would buy at your local supermarket lol
|
| |
Not feeling the new songs so far, don't have high hopes
|
| |
Very stoked for this, singles are fun if not exactly "out there" for CHVRCHES. Their first LP is a still a god-damn jam.
|
| |
"no that statement just made zero fucking sense
you don't sound very smart tbh"
ah, intelligence. the unlikeliest of things to be called out on by a hipster.
|
| |
don't
|
| |
damn I can't tell who's walking into what here lmao
|
| |
"don't"
yes, I've seen these before, these types of very brief succinct responses which convey power over the domain.
|
| |
guys can you not have a dick measuring contest in a chvrches thread please
|
| |
Chvrches threads are sacred to JS19. Lauren Mayberry strikes JS19 as potentially, just maybe, being that one cute Girl who is just emo and autistic enough that she might give him the time of day IRL. It's a fantasy he holds onto, and it's marred anytime people have dick measuring contests online, where penis size doesn't matter, where JS19 feels safe, in Chvrches threads.
|
| |
Have a day off mate
|
| |
Lauren looks like 12 lol not my type project away
|
| |
lol come on it was pretty funny
|
| |
Am I the only one here who digs the songs? CHVRVHES have always been pop, why now are people calling them out on it?
The chorus on My Enemy would be annoying if it weren't so catchy. Plus the harmonizing between the two gets me.
|
| |
these singles have been really disappointing so far
|
| |
I take back what i said before, liking the singles so far
excited for the album
|
| |
first two singles were mediocre but the new one's really good
getting back on the hype train
|
