Awesome song, looking forward to this for sure

massive track m/
| |
This one was quite a bit better than t/t imo.
| |
The new album is turning out to be a massive disappointment for me. From the cover art to the lyrics and the riffs, everything feels like a mediocre tribute album from a much less creative band.
| |
This is a motherfucking banger
| |
AOTY
| |
Now now Hawks
| |
new deafheaven isn't even out yet tho hawks
sounds like I m m o r t a l

Shit I forgot about Deafheaven lol.

Sounds like immortal not lyin'
| |

| |
yeah deafheaven will prob blow but this is good
edit: this is boring
| |
Both singles have slapped so hard, can't wait for this
| |
"Shit I forgot about Deafheaven lol."
If we could only all be so lucky
| |
Solid track but not mindblowing. Doesn't riff the way SoND did that's for sure
| |
Agreed, enjoyable track, first single was better and I'm still tempering my expectations for this release.
| |
basic
| |
Surprised to hear the one guy complaining about the artwork and titles, these guys have never had great album covers (only 'At the Heart of Winter' was great) and titles have always been simple. Singer sounds good, though. I don't know who's singing, though, since Abbath isn't in the band anymore.
| |
Dude, first three album covers are pinnacles of BM iconography. And the titles here seem extremely lazy because they are merely ripped from lyrics of older albums.
| |
The debut is definitely great. I forgot about it. the other two and pretty much every other album cover, though, is nothing special.
| |
PH might seem less special today, because it was copied so much. And Battles was among the first wintry/white BM covers ever. I love them both to death.
| |
Seems like their borrowing elements all the way from Diabolical (which is extremely underrated here), PH/Battles and At the Heart of Winter. I really dig the production, it's like classic 2nd wave tropes (high end boost, maximum reverb, perfect level on the vox) yet with a modern touch.
Song rips
| |
Cool track, the new album should be interesting
| |
Sounds way more interesting than Abbath.
I'm really stoked about this one.
| |
Lets be honest guys this is a ripoff of blood fire death. Has the same vocal cadence. Meh it is cool but meh.
| |
and darkthrone ripped off celtic frost for days, so what
| |
I don't listen to Immortal now that Abbath left because people don't recognise the other band members so I'm not seen as kvlt by my friends. Their best song is Dance With The Devil.
| |
This sounds nothing like Blood Fire Death.
| |
I hate when people play the 'this is X rip-off' card. Most of the time it's not even a rip-off/clone, and even when it is, it's like... Dude, you're literally getting an extra album of good shit that is made in a style you appreciate yet you're still gonna moan about it like a little bitch? Man, shut up and stop crying because X band didn't reinvent the wheel. Just be glad the wheel exists in the first place. We're all standing on the shoulders of giants.
| |
cool
| |
I don't get it. So bands aren't allowed to rip off themselves anymore?
Instead of calling it a day, Immortal gave us their best record since ages.
Bummer.
| |
"This sounds nothing like Blood Fire Death."
idk it did remind me a bit of A Fine Day To Die
| |
It’s fucking Immortal you know what you’re signing up for like come on.
| |
No, sorry but you're wrong. This sounds NOTHING like Blood Fire Death. Way different production and vocals sound different and song structure isn't even that similar.
| |
production and vocals are obviously very different, just the driving triplet rhythm and the epic feel of the song instantly brought A Fine Day To Die to my mind. nowhere near as good tho.
| |
If you think it sounds nothing like BFD you need 44 caliber brain surgery tbh. not like i care immortal still rule
| |
It doesn't and I'm a huge Bathroy fan. If you would enjoy taking this outside, I will annihilate. Up to you, pal.
| |
Album arrived today. It fucking rules!
| |
Most people seem to like it, so good for them I guess.
It charted at #2 on the german album charts lol.
| |
well, metal fans still buy records.
| |
"If you think it sounds nothing like BFD you need 44 caliber brain surgery tbh. not like i care immortal still rule "
This guy with the Demolition Hammer reference
| |
You're all wrong. Doesn't sound like Blood Fire Death! Listen to the new album and BFD after! You'll realize you were wrong. Then come back here and apologize.
