Scott Stapp is back

2019-04-11 by daysofthunder | 41 Comments
Former Creed frontman Scott Stapp has released a music video for a new song entitled "Purpose for Pain."

It's the lead single for his upcoming third solo album, The Space Between The Shadows, which drops on in July on Napalm Records. Coincidentally, he and his former Creed bandmates are now all on the same label, with Alter Bridge and Tremonti also on Napalm's roster.

There's gotta be more cos this life is insane
Gotta turn this around and find the purpose for pain
There's so much to lose yeah there's so much at stake
Gotta turn this around and find the purpose for pain

WHAT THE FUCK STAPP?! Why would you sing "so much at stake" instead of "so much to gain"?!

my own prison had some good 90s post grunge bangers, much better than any nickelback song ever made

My Own Prison and Human Clay were ok

and honestly Nickelback isn't as bad as everyone makes them out to be either

I disagree. post grunge is bad enough, but with slick production it sounds even more forced and fake (nickleback, theory of a dead man, etc). creed was one of the few post grunge acts to actually have a raw production sound, at least in their formative years

@matthias im not trashing radio rock. I just wouldn't call sound of madness a "damn good album". it has a couple okay bangers and the rest is filler nonsense
