hoping this record will be Blueprints-tier, really enjoyed Low but their last record didn't impress me that much so I'm keeping tempered expectations

Wasn't the biggest fan of this tbh. Chorus is catchy at least.

Wage War clearly aren't feeling any PRESSURE (wink wink), because they're not attempting to try anything new. For their second album, it was passable - but if the new record is still utilizing their same songwriting techniques; then I'm checked out. The song "Alive" from their first album is still great stuff to this day though.

Kinda gotta disagree there, Sam's vocals are the only positive to current Architects for me.

I don’t feel Architects vocals at all, never have, never will.

The Here And Now would like a word with you, considering it's Architects at their vocal peak.

Big nope. Hollow Crown was Architects's peak. Sam doesn't even diversify his vox that much anymore.

Live however... the man is a fucking beast. I cannot rule out Sam Carter as a bad vocalist whatsoever because of the times I've seen him in person. Really wish he would incorporate some of his lows that he does live on record ugh. Damn shame that there's hardly any of that.

Double nope to you. He's never more diverse than on THaN and it's not even a competition. His cleans on that are unprecedented for their discography.

An Open Letter to Myself is the only song I come back to on that record sorry man.

Well this is boring.

While Holy Hell went in one ear and out the other for me, Sam for me is defiantly still at the top vocalists in the poppy metalcore side of things. He just needs to shift out of mids for the records and do lows like he did on Ruin or even try highs.
