Creeper debut new track

2019-11-23 by Sconza | 21 Comments
UK horror pop-punkers Creeper have dropped a video for their latest single, 'Born Cold'.

This track is their first new song since their 2017 debut album Eternity, In Your Arms and is presumably off an upcoming, as of yet unannounced, sophomore album.

Lower register vocals are completely lifeless and sound like he has a head cold, the higher register on the chorus is grating and melodramatic. I get the latter is normal for pop punk but this is on a completely different level.

There are some redeeming qualities about this, but everything about these guys are overdramatic and hammy.

I do not understand any of the hype for this band at all.

I’ve not been sold on this single, but I did enjoy their debut a fair amount.

I still think it’s crazy how far they’ve come since I first saw them opening for Funeral for a Friend nearly 5 years ago

Their new image/vibe I do not dig at all. What is the lead singer going for?

I think he's trying to look slightly transgender. I'm not trying to be offensive or funny, I legitimately think that's what he's targeting.

I thought the exact same thing.

I just thought that they’re going for a more David Bowie vibe

Not sure why wearing makeup automatically = trans. Goth/horror/random rock bands have been doing that since the 80s and even earlier.

Lol if they're not an indie group, they don't belong on here cause they'll just get shit on.

I dig it, they're doing their thing. Fuck it.

really wanted to get behind em bc a newer band sounding like afi/alk3 should be sick but god damn they are so style over substance
