m/
|
| |
finally some real rock n roll around here
|
| |
You heard one..... you heard em all.
|
| |
...so what? It's all about solid rock jams.
|
| |
expect nothing from ac/dc, they clearly don't want to make music, just make money, i can't blame them though, if you had this much success you wouldn't want to change
|
| |
:O
|
| |
Came here just to see the hateful/disapproving comments
|
| |
I have yet to click on the song, but I'm really expecting something different here. I am very excited to hear the progressive jazz fusion influence being incorporated into their new music! You really never know what to expect from AC/DC.
|
| |
Look they're like Motorhead. Yeah the sound has stayed almost cartoonishly consistent over the years, but it's distinctive and no band has managed to peg it in quite the same way. Their last classic is years in the past but this album will probably deliver what most people are hoping to get from it.
|
| |
get your facts straight, Sonoma. theyre going blackned house riot grrrl
|
| |
You can also respect their legacy while still laugh at the "samey" sound. I'll still check the record because it's them
|
| |
I'm not sure if I like this version of "Highway to Hell" better than the second version of it, but maybe not as much as the third or fourth. I wonder when they're going to redo "TNT". That one hasn't seen some love since the 6th version a couple years back.
|
| |
lol this band.
|
| |
"Came here just to see the hateful/disapproving comments"
i mean yea thats what youd expect for such a terrible band
|
| |
They may just know how to play one song, but it's a good song.
|
| |
"New AC/DC song"
Lol good one
|
| |
Motörhead’s worst album is still better than AC/DC’s best album.
|
| |
didnt malcolm die?
why are they still milking this
piss off ffs
|
| |
Clickbait bullshit. This is just “Shook Me All Night Long”. Mods pls delete this.
|
| |
Band should have wrapped up in the early 80s
|
| |
imagine being there for their songwriting process.
Angus: hey guys I got some new riffs
the band: no you don't lol
|
| |
The boys are back
|
| |
lmao this thread is gold
|
| |
Its a compilation with a couple of new songs.
|
| |
How come no one is mentioning the fact that Brian Cliff and Phil are back..........
|
| |
rock and roll breathes again
|
| |
Key of A...they done anything else in A?
|
| |
good band
|
| |
EA Madden Franchise: The Band
|
| |
This makes me happy. AC/DC makes me happy. Keep makin' that same album you always do boys, because I fuckin love it.
|
| |
Antichrist/death christ
|
| |
"why are they still milking this"
Cause they obviously can...
|
| |
sounds like ac/dc to me. i've been listening to them a lot lately. from high voltage to for those about to rock, they're basically unimpeachable. who gives a fuck if it's simplistic and a lot of their shit sounds the same. it's rock n roll. fuck y'all.
|
| |
Band is a 2.5
|
| |
thank you GrandpaFred
|
| |
rock and is back
|
| |
rock music rise up
|
| |
stock music*
|
| |
sounds like he's saying "i shot your dog"
|
| |
Ironic considering the band needs to go the way of Old Yeller
|
| |
bloc dude i expect it from most of these dudes, but you man?
these guys are soooooo good live check em out if we ever get the chance again
|
| |
Titan is the only one left...
Yeah they actually are awesome live. They really need to be focusing on live shows and not putting out new material. I saw them play after a band I went to see, and they blew me away.
|
| |
"hard rock" is the shittiest genre tbh
|
| |
Vocalist should wear a condom over his head before singing. And leave it on.
|
| |
Finally, some electronics.
|
| |
Allergist dude the album is just a catalyst for the live show. They'll release one single, maybe 2, play 2 songs off the new album, and roll with the classics.
I agree with you.
|
| |
Can you imagine being in a band where no one likes anything you do anymore and all you can do is try to relive your glory days 5 nights a week?
Maybe they're cool with it, but it's enough to put someone on suicide watch.
|
| |
bloodshy is right, suicide watch already knows me
|
| |
I'd relive my glory days if I made a million dollars a show
|
| |
same
people are going so hard into this band lmao like damn I thought I was harsh
|
| |
I'd never say this shit to them personally, but when their best album is a 1.5, they can get off the fucking ambient radio in my fucking shopping centers.
Listen at home with your curtains closed please.
|
| |
Brian is deaf...so will they play Hells Bells live? but rename it to Hells Beltone? lol j/k band slays, always praise.
|
| |
"Can you imagine being in a band where no one likes anything you do anymore and all you can do is try to relive your glory days 5 nights a week? Maybe they're cool with it, but it's enough to put someone on suicide watch."
Considering that their last album sold well over a million copies world wide it's probably fair to say that maybe a few people still like what they do.
Also, it's morbidly funny and more than a little sad how difficult it is for people to deal with the idea that maybe AC/DC actually still enjoys doing what they do. We should all be so lucky to do something for 40+ years and still enjoy it as much as AC/DC enjoys playing power chords. It might keep us all off suicide watch.
|
| |
Unless like stated earlier, they just really enjoy making money. Either way, glad other people enjoy this garbage and that they can play their classics forever.
I still get agitated when they're on the radio though. I have to stop mid conversation with people like I got interrupted. Then I pretend like nothing's wrong and my palms sweat for 3-4 minutes while I try to ignore it.
|
| |
Maybe they do enjoy making money. Or maybe they enjoy their jobs, which is traveling the world and playing sold out shows to thousands of fans. What kind of job satisfaction have you gotten lately?
|
| |
Phrasing...!
|
| |
We’re getting heated over AC/DC
|
| |
My job just stresses me out, tbh. I never really had a sort of height of my career to live up to though... Just lame stuff. I suppose that has a different type of depression, the idea that you'll never be anything, as opposed to never being what you once were.
|
| |
Thank you Sitar.
Some of you are just simply pathetic.
|
| |
Pathetic how?
|
| |
rock and ROOOLLLLLLLLL
AINT NOISE POLUUUUTION
|
| |
> You heard one..... you heard em all.

Stating these about some harmless hard rock jams... Bruh. It is entertaining to read, but also it's quite sad.
|
| |
Didn't mean to make anyone sad. If anyone takes what I said personally, I apologize.
I have seen bands in interviews seem kind of down when they're excited about new shit they made and people only want to hear the old shit. It's a common theme. Pretty sure it would upset me, especially that far into my career.
Sounds like they're enjoying the ride though! If they are, there's nothing better than that.
Music still sucks balls though.
|
| |
That's...definitely an AC/DC song. Sounding very mid-period, which is encouraging, but let's be real - whatevet they put out next can't possibly be worse than Rock or Bust.
Hopefully they don't style the title like that though. Cringe.
|
| |
I always liked this band. It's like if Daffy Duck was the singer of a band. Simply amazing.
|
| |
Holy fuck I laughed way too hard at that Storm.
|
| |
I imagine most people would prefer this kind of quack in a band than the other kind.
|
| |
I don't think they are all they're quacked up to be.
|
| |
A new genre: Duck rock! See also; Guns N Roses, Metal Church, Rhino Bucket, etc
|
| |
I realise everyone is taking the piss but even if you are an actual fan, Malcolm Young was the best thing about this band and he died a few years ago so I have no idea why they even still bother.
|
| |
We call them acca dacca where I’m from
|
| |
cmon garas youve been around here long enough to know this is what we do sometimes
|
| |
A quack quack here and a quack quack there
|
| |
This band really needs to get their ducks in a row.
|
| |
Wait, instead of duck rock, maybe duck & roll?
|
| |
y'all ever watch maximum overdrive? best thing ac/dc ever did
|
| |
I actually used to own the soundtrack on cassette. :o
|
| |
WHO MADE WHO
AINT NOBODY TELL YOU?!?
|
| |
Who made who
Who made YOU?
|
| |
"D.T." off of that album is legit my fave AC/DC song. A quick instrumental but it's so good man
|
| |
In my very first band in high school we used to jam a couple of bars from it as a warm up/soundcheck. Minus the delay on the drums of course.
|
| |
You guys heard that sick AC/DC cover band? AC/DuckSeason. Legit vocal quackage. Check em out if you haven't.

|
| |
rock and roll ain't noise pollution!
|
| |
Hey, it's the same song they've been playing since the 70's. Cool.
|
| |
what if ac/dc just came out one day with a progdeath midwest emo song
|
| |
People would accuse them of selling out lol
|
| |
angus young and brian johnson are back so that's a thing
|
| |
Ac Dc albums are like Madden games, There’s only a tiny bit of changes
|
| |
It's a little sad the amount of people who love to shit on this band. Yes they're old, only in it for the money, haven't written an original tune in 40 years if ever (talking sctrictly the Brian Johnson led version here, original AC/DC with Bon Scott may have lacked diversity but they created that sound and like The Ramones ir was original and very distinct and creative for it's time). But these guys have been through some pretty rough shit this last decade with death and disease, let the old farts play their three tunes and make some money for their grandkids, they aren't hurting anybody, to be offended by that is sad. I haven't liked anything they've done in 20+ years but they'll always have a place in my heart for the Bon Scott + early Johnson years.
Plus a lot of older rock and roll fans who aren't the most hip or cultured or brightest (and sometimes suffering from diseases like Alzheimer's or dementia) get real joy out of these old bands putting out new music, it brings some happiness into their lives. I'm all about that, music isn't just for the hip and educated or enlightened.

|

Is it supposed to just be pitch black? Clever video.
|
| |
None writes or plays good ol rock n roll like the guys from ac/dc. I will never get tired of listening to them.
|
| |
Agreed junkie.....great band, cant wait for the new album
|
| |
It pisses me off how everyone is gangsta when you praise these guys. "Every song sounds the same" they say. If it's so easy how come no other band adopts that formula and make tons of money. And explain to me how is it that every time i hear an AC/DC cover, the sound is purely trash. If the notes/song arrangement are so easy why is it that almost every cover sounds so horrible. No other have yet to find out how the Young brothers came up with the tones they did.
Bottom line, these guys must be doing something right.
|
| |
I've always loved em. Got into them when Who Made Who came out. I think a lot of the younger generation doesn't care for Brian's voice, and I can get that. If only they truly listened to the legend, Bon Scott. And yes, Bon Scott is a legend.
It's funny that most of their current music videos show fans from 40 years of age and up. I love it!
Anyway, they're one of the biggest hard rock bands in history, simply because they're great.
|
| |
"And explain to me how is it that every time i hear an AC/DC cover, the sound is purely trash. If the notes/song arrangement are so easy why is it that almost every cover sounds so horrible. "
hmmmmmm
|
| |
"Bottom line, these guys must be doing something right."
writing basically catchy songs isn't the hardest thing in the world, the problem is getting a record label to throw money at your band, specifically, instead of all the other lukewarm rock bands out there. AC/DC already have legendary back catalogue so ofc a label will keep putting out their music as long as it's at least barely functional rock music that can be played on the radio.
|
| |
I would think writing a basic catchy song is tough to do, or else many would be doing it. And revenue from record labels is obviously a thing of the past.

New song, 'Realize' : https://youtu.be/gLA70huskTk

I don't mind that one, really catchy guitarz
