Honestly surprised the new songs are as heavy as they are. I’m sure there will be more anthemic/sing-along type songs on the record, but both of these were a pleasant surprise. Everyone is incredibly on point, but I’m particularly loving Goose’s drumming. Nice to hear some blasts/double bass stuff again. These fuckin rip and will be on repeat until the album is out.

Also very glad the production is sounding crisp as fuck this time around. I love the songwriting on Low Teens, but some of the production choices on that record were really bad (mainly the drum sounds).

Songs are decent. Maybe I'm just getting bored of this band's schtick at this point but they didn't really get me excited. The intro of track 2 is also kind of weird and I'm not sure that I like it.

honestly i think the drums on low teens is their best, best album from them entirely imo, it has their softest and heaviest cuts and god tier pacing, while i do love fpu, i think a lot of the songs lacked punch because the last few were exactly like it, petal's impact was strengthened due to how tame and relaxing it remembers was, just as real and 1977 to then transition into the beautifully dark and perfect closer map change, plus keiths lyrics seem to be at their peak imo, look at glitches and petal to get what i mean
