Not very impressed to be honest. Maybe this could grow on me in the future, so never say never I guess. But this is just devoid of any type of memorable songwriting that was present in AAL writing in the past. No hooks etc, just one idea going to the next in a stream of consciousness fashion.
| |
lame take tundra but I get it
it’s more focused on certain techniques but the tempo change where the song opens up a bit was a nice hook. also, ghost note city damn.
| |
Slaps, the drums are especially nutty on this one.
| |
This was a cool track
| |
"No hooks etc, just one idea going to the next in a stream of consciousness fashion"
Isn't that basically what these do?
| |
Not really lol, ppl will get that on casual first listen maybe
| |
TJOM was full of hooks, rest of their work not so much.
| |
disagree but I’ve got into them early, even their last one had its moments but I don’t see people here talm about it much
| |
Wasn't big on TJOM tbf
I like the first two albums best
| |
holy shit what a song
| |
TJOM >
this track's nice
| |
Debut and Weightless are better than TJOM tbh.
| |
Agreed
| |
TJOM used to be my favourite now its probably Madness
| |
This one is fun, but music aside that video is awesome.
| |
i liked that a lot
the video is really cool -- this kind of music must be really hard to dance to but also really fun if you're as good as this crew
| |
This one is fun, but music aside that video is awesome. [2]
It's rare for a music video to complement or enhance a song, but this one definitely does.
| |
feel like it vindicates all the spazzoids headbanging and bodybanging like Jens Kidman to off time djent rhythms
| |
Gotta give them credit though. AAL fans generally know the music well enough to know where the pulse of the song is and headbang/mosh/clap in rhythm.
| |
"feel like it vindicates all the spazzoids headbanging and bodybanging like Jens Kidman to off time djent rhythms"
I felt like in some sense this video was referring to "Bleed" with its costuming.
| |
Maybe they're dancers to a discordant system.
| |
This type of music does nothing for me.
| |
Song is about 4 minutes and 7 seconds too long.
| |
damn sitar with that good joke
| |
That's what I'm known for spread the word!
| |
really taking that sugh worship to new levels huh
| |
Track is okay.
| |
Damn the dude on the Obzen cover got a new gig, good for him
| |
Song is good but sounds like them. Not much new but I still liked it a lot
| |
This video is absolutely fantastic
| |
Been itching for new material from these guys for a while and this didn't disappoint, track fucking slaps
| |
It's just ok imo. Definitely looking forward to the LP though.
| |
Track did not disappoint
| |
this video is sick
| |
Been a really long time since an AAL release, huh? Track might need some time to grow for me. Video slaps. Think this band peaked with Joy of Motion but would be nice to be proven wrong.
| |
Bit disappointing
| |
not bad
| |
I can't see them topping JoM, but as long as it's another solid AAL record, that'd be enough to make me happy. It's always a blast listening to their stuff, because you can rest assured that the instrumentation is going to be sick as fuck.
| |
Another casualty of the men in dress very open-minded and progressive trend. Let's all applaud the courage, daring and dignity.
And by the way, this videoclip isn't ridiculous. I swear.
At least twelve foot ninja made a joke of it.
| |
YO FRONZ HERE. IF YOU WORRIED ABOUT MEN IN DRESSES THEN YOU PROBABLY THE KINDA DUDE TO GET FUCKED LIKE HE WEARS A DRESS. ANYWAY FRONZ OUT
| |
@KevinKC: Satire?
| |
TJOM> all their other albums and probably most of the shit in their genre
| |
song is cool
| |
Parts of this sound like Exivious, and that’s a good thing.
| |
This track grew on me hard, very good song but personally I would’ve put the 1:15 part in again at the end of the song since to me that feels like the climax of the track and was worth repeating.
| |
I listened to this and wanted to see what sput had to say but I completely forgot what I was gonna do right after listening so that's about as interesting as this song gets
