Looking forward to the circle-jerk over this bad boy. Should be good.

| |
Excellent. Very hyped for the new album.

drip drip from your sagging lip

Nothing but noise innit
|
| |
Still think this band name is very bad advertisement. Sounds like an Italian popular classical singer that would work wonders in cheap pizza shacks across the globe.
|
| |
yep, beautiful noise
and agreed Trif!
|
| |
D(Rip)s
|
| |
damn those drums
|
| |
Sounds great! Time Will Die and Love Will Bury It was a damn good album so I'm really excited for this
|
| |
fully deserved circle jerk, this fucks hard
|
| |
really dislike the snare tone
and the video
but this is pretty great! miles better than the dud of a first single. i feel there's something missing in the songwriting dept, like it sets itself up but doesn't really peak, but maybe that'll make sense in sequencing. expectations for the new alb have gone from minimal to Astraea-level
|
| |
I think I'm just going to have to wait for the whole thing to drop. This one and the last one are decent songs but I think Time Will Die... worked best when played as an album experience.
|
| |
Really like the heavier direction they've been going in with their last couple of releases
|
| |
heavier? If anything they got lighter, not that it's necessarily a bad thing.
|
| |
yeah lol the heaviness quotient thru this band's discog is erratic as shit lol
|
| |
Still better than Spiritbox
|
| |
@Exhale I really don't think these two bands are even remotely close enough to compare, unless you're looking at the simple fact that they both have female vocalists...
|
| |
these guys are amazing. cant wait to listen
|
| |
"drip drip from your sagging lip"
damn a Comus reference in a Rolo thread, this.is.sputnik!
|
| |
so so good. its been many years since i really CONNECTED with music, or even a whole album, and time will die and love will bury it was one of those for me. their production, screams, synth and everything is just perfectly mixed now. previous releases were too 'scramz' or scratchy sounding for me.
|
| |
"Still better than Spiritbox"
they sound nothing alike lol
|
| |
Just L.A. Confidential last night great movie
|
| |
"sTiLl bEtTeR tHaN sPiRiTbOx"
comparing bands solely based on the fact they have women as their lead vocalists is .... weird lmao
|
| |
Cloaked grew on me a lot actually, kinda love it now and this track is also sick.
gonna make it a point to listen to these guys more. very hyped!!!
|
| |
Cloaked instantly clicked for me the first time I heard it, Drip wasn't as immediate though, probably a grower.
|
| |
‘comparing bands solely based on the fact they have women as their lead vocalists is .... weird lmao’
Some would say it’s a little worse than just weird.
|
| |
Both singles are great, excited for the album.
|
| |
yeah cloaked grew on me a lot too, i still think the heavier parts sound a little too close to a modern architects album but the second half of the track is beautiful
this is pretty immediate though, a bit closer to grievances sound-wise
|
| |
Definitely gotta re-check this band. Tried them a while back and it didn't click at the time, but maybe it will now.
|
| |
everything they put out at this point is 11/10 for me.
|
| |
Much better than the last single
|
| |
the snare does sound really fucked up
|
| |
New album is shaping up to be another hit
|
| |
Yeah that snare isn't great but the song is still a banger
|
| |
"Much better than the last single"
Seconded.
|
| |
I just hope this album is better than employed to serve.
|
| |
ODing on metalcore rn
|
| |
Literally unlistenable because of how loud the snare is.
|
| |
That snare sound is annoying but maybe the Non YouTube version will sound less bad. Clean part is very awesome, heavy part is awesome as well. Im really intersted how this is working out in the new record.
Some would say it’s a little worse than just weird.

Who the fuck would ever compare those two bands?
|
| |
Theyre both metalcore bands with female vox, which is pretty niche. They have different sounds and vibes but it's not a bonkers comparison
|
| |
comparison is based on gender of a band member.
its kinda bonkers tho.
|
| |
drums are definitely super loud so I can see that critique
|
| |
yeah, and theyre in the same sub-genre. its not like the guy compared them to evanescence or the gathering
but hey its not my comparison so im not gonna die on the hill
|
| |
U guys just aren't metal enough
|
| |
ShartHarder
|
| |
oh my god virtue signalers calm down its obv bc female vocalists, some people associate with like qualities jeeeeeezus
the point is, rolo is amazing. the front woman kicks fucking ass
spirit box is also really good
we good here fam? aight
|
| |
Well this goes in damn.
For all the people banging on about a woman front woman go listen to Svalbards expect equal respect.
|
| |
Double post
Theres also a french hardcore/metalcore band called Point Mort that people may like.
|
| |
best band ever

Spiritbox is mid

As far as im concerned Rolo is one of the top contenders of core these days
|
| |
brolo bromassi
|
| |
Didn’t love this but I’ll probably like it more in the context of the album
|
| |
i never did mention the singer's gender when i made the comparison lol some of y'all need to chill
|
| |
Pretty dope but what the fuck is up with the mixing? why are the drums so insanely loud? Its so apparent on the lead keyboard part. the guitar and bass are so drowned out on that part
|
