Dark Fortress disband

Black metallers Dark Fortress have just announced that after almost thirty years as a blackened collective they will be breaking up. Band's statement goes as follows:

"We are hereby announcing the end of Dark Fortress.

This has been coming for a while, and it's been an extremely hard decision. But since we did not want to simply let the band fall apart, we decided to end Dark Fortress with a bang, properly and in dignity, something that we owe not only to our fans and to all the people who have supported us for over two decades, but something that we also owe to ourselves.

So we are proudly announcing our final tour together with co-headliners The Spirit and special guests Asphagor. Come and let's celebrate one more time. This will be your last chance to see Dark Fortress live"

Sad news. Consitent, quality band who never really dropped a masterpiece but nothing bad either.

Just discovered their debut last year and I love the shit out of it. Haven't heard any of their other albums but bad news nonetheless

I will glue countless copies of their discog together and build a dark fortress out of them in their honor.

seriously though, RIP and will the vocalist leave Alkaloid and/or Noneuclid too? has a future frontin a Yes cover band... that'd be an interestingly horrible idea

I liked DF pre-Morean better but Ylem was a damn'd fine record... they all were to some respectable extent but 2010 I quit drinking n Ylem was one of the releases I latched onto for dear life to help expel the alkie demonnn
