I wonder if they got Sakis Tolis to do vocals on this because the music already sounded like Rotting Christ. Pretty interesting.

The bridge was nice, the rest was average instrumentally. Sakis vocals sound great but man where are the riffs at?

this song is very boring, and I was a fan of both Heart Like a Grave and Argent Moon

So, this song had to be done to make their sons, mothers and wifes all happy at the same time.

Both songs have been pretty redundant and don’t really reach any heights that I’m used to seeing their songs go to. Don’t dislike any of it, just wondering if Insomnium has lost some of their inspiration or what.

I thought Lilian was great but this is just ok. The solo was fantastic though.

Haven't really sat with an album from these guys since Weeping World but I used to love that one. Song is decent but doesn't grab my attention much tbh. Agreed on the solo being nice though

If you're looking for an album post Weeping World to listen to, go for Winter's Gate, it's their best and one of the genre's best

Incredibly bland song amounting to nothing. Disappointing.

Yup^

They keep coming out with the same watered down, sappy, overly long songs they've been doing since that other dude joined the band. Not Markus, but the other guy.

The sad part about this is "the other guy", Jani Liimatainen, is an absolutely phenomenal guitarist. Listen to any of his early stuff with Sonata Arctica, and even his pop stuff with ex-Nightwish singer Annette on the Dark Element, and it's evident he has so much to offer. I just have yet to really hear it since he joined Insomnium in 2019.

Thanks for the clarification, Dungeon. I wasn't trying to make him out to be a nobody, I just couldn't remember his name lol I checked him out when he first joined, and yeah, total guitar wizard. I'm baffled as to how they can be releasing some of the weakest music of their careers whilst having their strongest lineup of musicians. Doesn't Ville still write with the band as well?

"The sad part about this is "the other guy", Jani Liimatainen, is an absolutely phenomenal guitarist."

Much like Dark Tranquillity with Chris Amott and Johan Reinholdz, the band for some implausible reason just refuses to let these guys play some riffs.

Ever since they did the last EP the riffs are gone : (

at least that ep had a pretty consistent mood, this song is all over the place and the vibe of the song is utterly at odds with the lyrics and sakis' contribution. this honestly might be insomnium's worst song to date.
