Sounds like ETID, sounds like Keith.
| |
Everything Keith does will sound like ETID because his voice and delivery is so unique. Cautiously optimistic going in to this.
| |
I just hope he doesn’t repeat lines too much. He did that so much on Radical that i couldn’t even make it through the album. Each song, multiple parts just screamed over and over and it not even be a chorus.
If he’s always done that, I’ve never noticed it until Radical
| |
Keith will spare only the ones he love and slay the rest and you will like it MoM
| |
Everything from Last Night… to Ex Lives slaaaapppppss
The rest just can’t cut my mustard
| |
Radical was one of their best tho.
| |
Keith’s songwriting choices make it hard for me, which was the last thing i expected
| |
The repeat line delivery thing has been a big part of his shtick for a long time. Since like hot damn or gutter phenomenon. I remember noticing it the most on Ex Lives or New Junk
| |
For some reason, it never bothered me before. I’ll give Radical another try down the line and see if it clicks better.
| |
Never got super into ETID but i do love Map change
| |
Hot damn was peak |-)
| |
Sounds like ETID, sounds like Keith [2] kinda hype-y
| |
"The rest just can’t cut my mustard"
thank you for introducing this phrase to me
| |
Many Eyes in my head
They're all the same
| |
Sounds solid, surprisingly optimistic!
| |
with Better Lovers already out there, im slightly less hyped for this i guess. definitely will still give it a shot.
| |
Song's out in OZ, it's very good. A mix of all ETID styles.
| |
“Toxic Holocaust fame”
TH and fame are mutually exclusive concepts
| |
Love everything I hear, so far. Refreshing to hear Keith's voice, in new material.
They're touring with Thursday. Interesting show right there!
| |
Not supporting Keith on principle because he had creepy Jared Leto eyes in the Thing With Feathers clip
| |
its pretty fucking meh instrumentally and obvious the Bellmore brothers (lol) drew alot of inspiration from ETID without necessarily understanding what made Jordan and Andy's riffs so good. Lyrically, it's nowhere near as unique or interesting as even the worst of pre-2019 ETID and worse yet, its accompanied by Keith's self-aggrandizing, over-explanatory cliffsnotes that made Radical's lyrics such a bore at times for me.
Buuuuuuuuuut my god he sounds excellent on this and I'm pretty stoked for this record. Just hope it isn't generic ETID-litecore the whole way through
| |
song stomps anything off the better lover's ep
hyped for the album
| |
A little generic, but Keith slays per usual. Hoping future singles will be a little more interesting instrumentally
| |
Im going to guess both bands will be just fine and still pretty top tier for modern metalcore standards. But with all the people involved both projects should probably be better then the reality we get.
| |
Song’s okay. Keith should’ve joined Artificial Brain and brought the go-gurgs
| |
Lotta people are gonna think of these new bands as the "lesser ETID's" but I don't really see it that way. Best case scenario to come out of the fallout and people will still find ways to complain lol
| |
Im glad they are doing their thing thought and didnt just join Suicidal tendencies and open an animal sanctuary....Ben please write some new music
| |
Instrumentally it sounds generic as fuck and Keith just sounds like he's going through the motions. Very dull song.
| |
It's 300% lame instrumentally and the lyrics are shite, but Keith sounds great here. Chorus vocals are very catchy. Kinda wish he had better people to work with.
| |
I think it’s a bit harsh trying to judge a whole bands ability on their first single
There could be lots more creativity in other songs but they’ve gone for a ‘play-it-safe’ single to showcase Keith still rules
| |
the song is quite disappointing to me considering all the hype
| |
this is fine
| |
Better Lovers whips this instrumentally, and this whips Better Lovers vocally imo. Greg was not the right choice for BL, should’ve been Scogin honestly
| |
^ Scogin woulda slaaapped
| |
"There could be lots more creativity in other songs but they’ve gone for a ‘play-it-safe’ single to showcase Keith still rules"
That's an interesting take but I'm not sure I agree with it. There's no reason to play it safe because Keith is well-established in the industry. If anything, they should have gone balls to the wall to make a statement not only to fans but to former bandmates. "You think you can go on without me? Check this shit out." That, to me, is what Better Lovers did so well with their EP. If it was a conscious choice to be safe by the band, it was a poor choice.
| |
Better Eyes, Many Lovers...
...said Yoda once. Probably.
| |
Keith really could've used somebody like a Steven Brodsky or Tom Anderson on guitar.
| |
Whatever this guy does count me in
| |
Both of the bands are not as good as ETID, but they’re fine
| |
First single “revelation” is out now on Spotify, YouTube, wherever. I like it more than I like ETID.
| |
Fuck this is good
| |
Have decided Keith is sane and based his vocals do no wrong and the others are just ignoreable.
| |
"Keith really could've used somebody like a Steven Brodsky or Tom Anderson on guitar."
I'd fuck with that.
| |
yeah feel like keith really needs to find a "riff master" type guy if he wants this band to just be ETID in 4/4. i know its only been one song but the riffs just aint here
| |
The riff master was his brother lol
| |
Okay this is kinda lame
| |
You're lame
| |
I know man, i know.
| |
Needs those Frontierer pew pews
| |
new one released a few days ago:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaRPu_g6330
not really doing anything for me
| |
New song is terrible. Take a lap
| |
yeah this new song sucks. many eyes and better lovers are both shite
| |
New one sounds like Muse in an odd way
| |
new song isn't great but it's better than the first two they dropped. rather them go alt rock or whatever the hell than bargain bin ETID
| |
