Review Summary: After three full albums, The Devil Wears Prada has finally grown into a sound that's immensely more mature and much more listenable than their previous attempts.

The Devil Wears Prada is a band that has had plenty of trials-and-errors through their history, but they seem to have learned from their mistakes and have crafted an EP which is immensely enjoyable. Although the concept of a Christian band writing a concept album about a Zombie apocalypse seems a little far-fetched, they pull it off almost heroically, with great lyrics, and a sound that is more brutal and creative than anything they've achieved thus far, with better instrumentals, key parts that really help define the songs, and vocals that sound generally better than they once did.

At times, the old The Devil Wears Prada albums seemed very uninspired and lacking of true musical talent. With Roots Above and Branches below took steps toward maturing, but fell a little short. But with the Zombie EP, the band has far surpassed what could have been expected of them, and shows how much talent and creativity they've kept under their sleeve. What was once considered a scene kid band, is now much more accessible for metalcore fans who aren't preteens and rocking 30 different hair colors at once, and hopefully, they can only improve from where they are now.

The Devil Wears Prada has really come a long way through their history, starting with poor music, moving to mediocre, then to actually quite listenable, and enjoyable metalcore. Every song on this album is good, but one that truly stands out, is the track Outnumbered. It's a song that, if listened to by itself, will give you everything you need from the Zombie EP: the undeniable creepiness of the story, the great musicianship that this band has grown into, and the wonderful new sound they have crafted. Anyone that enjoyed The Devil Wears Prada's old material will love this, and listeners who before saw them as immature and boring, will definitely come to know them much differently after a good listen through.

Ok review. But you should have talked more about the actual music and less about how the band matured.

That and the second sentence is much too long. Your reviewing style has potential, though, I'll give you that.

Short review, didn't talk about the music. It also came to me as trying too hard for some reason. I won't neg, though. Great EP.

jesus was a zombie so it's not far fetched for a christian band to make a zombie album. [2]

Hm I kind of dropped off listening to this band years ago but I might check this out since it supposedly revolves around a zombie theme.

I know what you were trying to go for with this, and sometimes a glimmer of it peeks out. While talking more about the music is advisable, I'd also recommend changing your sentence structure and word usage; in reviews sounding as if you're fairly knowledgeable about the subject is looked kindly upon to say the least, just don't go to the extreme that is pretentiousness.

It was a perfect review. I always hated this band and always said I they matured alot or made listenable music, I'd want to hear it! Te songs are for ourselves to discover. Knowing an album itself is good is enough. I don't we'd to know every damn breakdown of the song. That's up to me. Hearingif the album sounded just like the Alston woulda made me not want to even bother listing to. But now I wantto hear it!

(I already listened to it and it IS great, but as a First time listener, this woulda been a perfect review. 3.5/5 on the album, 5/5 on the review)

not enough content about the music itself on this review. This EP sucks like the rest of TWDP discography.

Add an extra para onto the review for the actual content, otherwise its not bad. Really like this EP, by far the best/only good thing this band has done.

I'm gonna pos you just because your review was actually pretty well written (in structure, grammar etc.) but as everyone else is saying, focus a little more on the music.

Can't say I care much for this band but this was actually a surprisingly 'fun' listen. That's the best way I can put it, they're still not very good
