  • Koris lol, I'm literally listening to Dramatic Turn of Events right now and you just posted that soundoff at the same time. Quite the coincidence... great album though

  • Spag Yo I just listened to Sgurr and it's extremely solid. Just like Rengeteg, but Tuno Ido Tarlat is the best imo. :]

  • Spag Ahh yeah. So Thy Catafalque didn't tickle your fancy? Hmm, might be the opposite for me lol. I'll be in disbelief if I don't love it.

  • Spag Yeah it's all good lol. :] I just dislike how certain bands/albums don't get the right amount of attention or reception lol. Btw, Arcturian is my AOTY UNLESS the new Thy Catafalque can beat it. I highly doubt that though lol.

  • Spag Glad you like the new Code since it has received some unfair reception over here. :| Band is so underrated.

  • OmairSh Btw if you haven't already tagged POS, can you tag the prog metal and experimental tags? I want hard rock to be the 3rd tag not 2nd as it is currently. Yeah I know "who cares," Well, I do :-P

  • OmairSh Ah yeah POS, a criminally underrated band in the prog and metal world. Guess they're too experimental and difficult to digest for most people (similar to Leprous I guess.) The road salt albums actually took me the longest time of their discog to digest surprisingly. I remember when they were released thinking, POS has been going down the drain since Scarsick. But later on I started to appreciate them and am happy Daniel released them. They need to release a new album man, I need more POS music.

  • OmairSh Once I accepted that every Leprous album doesn't have to be as radical as TPS or Bilateral, then the new one started to make sense. There isn't one average song, just good and great. I've listened to Arcturian a few times and I'm definitely intrigued. I'm planning to properly digest it soon. Surprised that they released it with that mix though, doesn't do the album justice at all. And Hellhammer uses triggered bass drums, I mean ffs. (Not interested in games like skyrim btw :-P)

  • OmairSh Yeah, once I accepted that every album doesn't have to be as radical as Bilateral, the Congregation started to make sense. On a binge again now. I heard the Arcturus a few times, and it definitely got caught my interest, can't believe they released it with that mix though. Guess they didn't want to pay someone else to do it again. (not into games like skyrim btw :-P).

  • OmairSh Lowering my expectations helped me enjoy the Congregation. Feels good.

  • Spag It's my second favorite, considering 5ing it. :]

  • Spag I LOVE YOUR ARCTURIAN RATING.

  • OmairSh I was hoping they'd keep things fresh if not change their sound again, but when Einar mentioned that he composed most of the music again I got anxious. It's not surprising that it's a gradual progression from Coal in that case. I don't like the fact that Einar is hogging the songwriting. At least Tor and Oystein should be heavily involved. My expectations from the album have decreased quite a bit, and hopefully that will be a good thing. Thanks for the Arcturus rec, might check it out.

  • OmairSh Just saw your respone to my comment. Was expecting you to reply in my shoutbox :-P. Ahh dammit, I had a bad feeling about the album after comments from the band and the first single. And now that I check your Leprous ratings (which are nearly identical to mine), I'm even more anxious about the album.

  • Robinanimate Fav Persuader album have to be "When Eden Burns". I actually like the songs on "Evolution Purgatory" even better, but the production kind of bugs me...
