| YakNips idk i mean i like the LP before that and a few of their 7"s better but i enjoy pretty much everything they've put out as a band so maybe they just differ from person to person. it definitely took them a while to fully grow on me tho

| YakNips cause the music is a great mix of melodic post-punkish atmospheres and visceral post-hardcore and just in general gives off this spacious punk vibe, the vocals/lyrics are unique and powerful and the songwriting is varied and continously growing on me

Guess we discount any character development from anyone on the terran side since they can rely on Inaho and his new aldnoah AIDS superpowers.

| sixdegrees need to rewatch, but it looked like Inaho got shot clean through the head and they mentioned that they never found Seylum's body, but nothing about Inaho (not counting him out until s2 though). My personal theory is that Slaine will join the Vers side for good and the princess will eventually have to shoot him. Earth is gonna be ****ed though without Inaho unless they pull another crazy Aldnoah weapon out of their asses

| sixdegrees honestly gonna give the show massive props if she actually stays dead just cuz its such a ballsy move...although judging by that scene at the end of the OP, I doubt it. Slaine was and still is my favorite character, but its hard to see him saving Sazaabaum (w/e) and getting Seylum killed as anything but ridiculously stupid. I really have no idea what direction the damn show is gonna take at this point.

| silentstar i'm really glad that you have a positive outlook on university! it can be a really wonderful place at times, especially when you learn to appreciate the little, lesser things. and yeah, clubs are great as well - i'm involved with a positive psychology/mental well-being club called engineering happiness and it's quite cool: we hold things like talks and workshops and we're planning to build this ball pit (like the one in the soulpancake youtube video), so quite exciting stuff!

| silentstar I didn't quite get X's story until I read this (http://ca.ign.com/faqs/2003/final-fantasy-x-story-and-plot-faq-432338). it was definitely very confusing but I'm glad they took a more ambitious route. and you only used two paradigms? wow, that's surprising. I found myself having to make new ones all the time but that may be because I was severely underleveled for the most part. also, I think most of the difficulty came from how fast you finished the battle, since yeah, it was quite easy otherwise

| silentstar seems like VI is one of the more favoured ones, haha. I liked X best because of the story and I think XIII had my favourite battle system. and it's a pity you didn't finish IX - I'm really enjoying it (although a lot of the gameplay mechanics feel outdated), so I hope I don't end up in a position where I don't finish it! but I see where you're coming from - I had a few hours left to play on Chrono Cross but just couldn't get around to finishing it, despite always wanting to. oh well

| silentstar yeah, I remember him being pretty difficult. and awesome, you'll have access to all three versions then, haha. have you played any Final Fantasy title? I've spent last summer and this summer on a FF binge and have so far finished VI, VII, VIII, X, XII and XIII and am playing IX atm

| silentstar are you playing P4 right now or is it on hold at the moment? also, did you ever try out P3 for the psp? I played that one last year (as the girl MC) and it was quite nice, especially since I played P3 like 3-4 years back. Persona games are so much fun, really really hyped for P5

| silentstar ah, interesting. I played P3 first as well but actually preferred P4 (which is incidentally my all-time favourite game). I think a lot of it came from the fact that I was playing the game at a very specific point in my life and it meant a lot back then, so yeah, I have a lot of nostalgia attached to the game, haha

I thought you made the track from scratch, haha. still doesn't detract from your composition of it - that was some wicked take on it. and I know of Sky Fereira but I don't know of 80's pop since I'm only 18 years old but I'm listening to the original song right now (Everything Is Embarrassing) and it's sweet. compliments my indie-pop binge really well too

| silentstar and then you'll get to go to a lot of shows! it's amazing how many bands pass through toronto. I was supposed to go to a la dispute/pianos become the teeth show with my friend but the tickets sold out. I did get to go to an architects/pth show last year though, which was quite fun. I also got to see Lydia (I went alone to this one though) earlier this year and that was an amazing show, since they played their album Illuminate in full. there is a much more varied/diverse community present at uni

I met one of my close friends through a conversation on school wifi, another one through him asking me if I can lend him my calculator (I said no) and another because he was wearing a la dispute shirt. joining clubs/going to school activities definitely helped as well

| silentstar haha yeah, u of t does give that sort of impression but it's good that you've made a choice you're happy with. I had quite a few of my good friends go to ryerson and although I haven't spoken to them much (barely, actually) since high school, they were really happy the one time I met them. I thought it'd be easy if everyone went their separate ways but it was actually quite difficult dealing with all my friends going to different universities (ties in with me getting nostalgic really easily)

| silentstar hmm, how about Shinsekai Yori? the show has a lot of bright animation but it's really dark underneath, especially as you come to learn more about the world and the society. another one that comes to mind is Higurashi, which is a 52 episode anime - I wasn't a big fan of it, since the characters were horrible, there was too much friendship-is-power theme going on, and the delivery of the show was weak, although there were some really good ideas. have to admit that it can get extremely eerie

| silentstar also, in regards to psychological/horror, what do you mean? like, do you want a scary anime or just an anime that is dark in nature? I haven't watched many horror anime, assuming you're referring to horror as being something like The Shining

| silentstar wow, awesome, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! if you want to watch something similar in terms of themes, check out the movie The Girl Who Leaped Through Time (I tend to associate the two since I watched them around the same time and they both evoked some sort of nostalgia).

| silentstar hah, I should have probably confirmed that on your mal - I never seem to hold onto Japanese titles too well. you should watch 5 cm/s then - it's made by the same guy. it's probably my favourite (I think?) animated movie: super gorgeous and beautiful as well and the plot is very well balanced between content and empty space.
